World Heritage Week Quiz – 21/11/2023
The India Tourism Chennai conducted an online Heritage Week Quiz. Every year, the world celebrates World Heritage Week from November 19, 2023, to November 25, 2023. The week aims to promote the conservation of culture and heritage across the globe. Bhadhra Nisha participated for the quiz.

Field trip to Dhoni Hills, Palakkad- October 21st 2023
Yuva members were taken to Dhoni Hills in Palakkad district, which is a famous picnic spot noted for its trekking option. The trek from the base area to Malampuzha and Meenavallam and Dhoni waterfalls is very interesting. This three-hour trip to the reserve forest area where the view is extremely beautiful. One can encounter some rare species of flora and fauna on the trek here. The trails are now popular with travellers and trekking enthusiasts. The scenic visuals on display throughout the climb keep the trekkers’ adrenaline rushing and are the perfect reward for the arduous hike. This 4 km-long trekking trail to the Dhoni falls through the lush green environs bestows one with a quiet isolated space to witness nature in its most tranquil form.

Gandhi Jayanti – Swatchhata Hi Seva
The YUVA Club members conducted a Cleaning Drive program as part of Gandhi Jayanti. To make India as clean tourism destination and to spread the message of sustainability , India tourism Kochi requested everyone connected to Tourism to clean their property /conduct one swachaata hi seva program on 1 st October and take travel for life pledge.

A special assembly was conducted as part of World Tourism Day and the pledge was taken by the students. A dance performance was also held in connection with the events which portrayed the various cultures of different states.

Onam Celebration- 25th August, 2023
The YUVA members along with the students joined hands in creating a colorful and vibrant flower carpet to uphold the tradition and culture showing the unique festival of Kerala. It brought in a sense of togetherness within the minds of the students.

Heritage walk
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (North), Students from the Yuva Tourism Club of Suraj Bhan D.A.V School, Vasant Vihar, organized a heritage walk at Jahaz Mahal and Qutub Minar. The participants, comprised of students from classes 10 to 12, were led by guide Mr. Raj Kumar Verma, who imparted traditional and cultural knowledge about the monuments during the guided tour.

The activity done in our school was planting trees. Plantation is good for the environment. Students can learn about the importance of biodiversity, and the interdependence of ecosystems.

A Fashion Show was conducted with Unity in Diversity as the theme and student represented the dress codes of different states. Students dressed up in different attires which portrayed a magnificent display of elegance and style of the states of India. A PowerPoint Presentation was also presented which reflected the culture of that state. for the students.
