A visit was made to JNV Nahan School, Sirmaur District wherein a presentation about Himachal Tourism and different types of tourism opportunities in Himachal Pradesh. The presentation emphasized the importance of generating income through tourism, while also promoting sustainable tourism practices. The second session was focused on the career prospects in the Tourism Industry in India and the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Tourism to promote tourism in the country. I spoke about the job and education opportunities in the tourism industry and how it is becoming a vital source of employment for many. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session with the students of JNV Nahan school. The students showed keen interest in the subject and asked questions related to the scope of tourism in Himachal Pradesh, career prospects in the industry, and the challenges faced in promoting sustainable tourism. The visit to JNV Nahan School was an excellent opportunity to educate students about the importance of tourism and the career prospects in the industry. The presentation was informative and engaging, providing a platform for the students to learn about the various aspects of the tourism industry in India. The inauguration of the Yuva Tourism club was held at St. Thomas School, Shimla Himachal Pradesh, which saw a total of 35 students registering for the club. The Yuva Tourism club aims to provide students with knowledge about India's rich cultural heritage and the state of Himachal Pradesh, a famous tourist destination. Furthermore, the club was addressed with a presentation of Himachal Tourism and Career prospects in Tourism and Travel Industry. With India's tourism industry growing rapidly, the sector offers vast opportunities for employment, both in the private and public sectors. The Ministry of Tourism has also taken several initiatives to promote tourism in India, such as developing new tourist circuits, promoting eco-tourism, and creating new tourism infrastructure. In conclusion, the inauguration of the Yuva Tourism club is a step towards promoting tourism knowledge among students, which is essential for the growth of the tourism industry in India. The club's activities will not only help students develop a better understanding of the country's cultural diversity but also provide them with insights into the vast career opportunities available in the tourism industry. IHM Dehradun celebrated National Tourism Day, performed Tourism Awareness drive, and took the pledge. (Travel for Life) Heritage walk from IHM Dehradun to Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple with a group of 25 students of Yuva Tourism Club (YTC) IHM Dehradun and 02 faculty. They sensitized tourists and neighborhood shopkeepers about the significance of National Tourism Day and the need to keep our surroundings clean.

The Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India organized a three-day study tour to Sarna Village in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand from April 28-30. Sh. R. K. Suman, Regional Director (North), flagged off the trip from Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University) in New Delhi, accompanied by members of the Yuva Tourism Club of the university. The main objective of this initiative is to explore the diverse rural villages of India and promote the country as a global tourism destination. The tour is focused on exploring, developing, and promoting Sarna Village, District Nainital, as a future rural tourism destination. Developing such rural destinations will encourage sustainable development by promoting special interest tourism and exploring niche destinations. The Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India has established 'YUVA Tourism Clubs' as a part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations. The vision is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage, and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. The locals of Sarna village welcomed the YTC members warmly. The Sarpanch and Pradhan personally greeted the students. The YTC members discovered that the village has the potential to attract tourists who seek to escape the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. Visitors can enjoy a beautiful trek to the homes of the villagers scattered on different parts of the hill, which can be reached by trekking like roads. During their visit, YTC members observed the step farming in the village. The weather during this time is pleasantly cool, and the village's primary fruits are apples, oranges, walnuts, apricots, and pears. YTC members saw walnuts on the trees, while apple trees are slowly becoming green. After exploring and gaining insights from the village, YTC members have also taken the Pledge for a commitment towards Safe and Honourable Tourism and Sustainable Tourism. Tourists can experience the authentic rural mountain village lifestyle and gain insight into the livelihood patterns and way of living of the mountainous rural villagers. Sarna village is an unexplored destination, waiting to be discovered by those seeking a peaceful and serene environment away from the chaos of city life.

The purpose of the visit is to make the students understand the various aspects of Rural Tourism and Eco Tourism. The journey was flagged off by Shri R K Suman, Regional Director (North), Dr Sarah Hussain, HOD, DTHM, JMI and Prof (Dr) Nimit Chaudhary, JMI on 28th April 2023 from the campus of the university.

In JNV Rudrapur, various sports and CCA activities are held. Teams from the sports of basketball, badminton, chess, kabaddi, and table tennis visited Bulandshar, Haridwar, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, and Chitrakut. In addition to doing sports, students were informed about the historical and geographical significance of these locations. Students are also instructed to write about their travels to these locations, notable locals, historical sites, local dialects, delectable foods, etc.

On 22nd April 2023, Sambhota Tibetan School's Yuva Tourism Club celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The day was marked by various activities aimed at creating awareness about the need to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices. Under the guidance of school teacher coordinator Ms. Nashi Chauhan, the students of the school took the Earth Day Pledge, committing themselves to protect the environment and take steps to preserve the natural resources. To further create awareness about the importance of Earth Day, a poster painting activity was conducted in the school. The students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm, creating beautiful and impactful posters highlighting the need to protect the environment. The celebration of Earth Day in Sambhota Tibetan School was a great success, promoting awareness about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices. It provided a platform for the students to showcase their creativity and commitment to preserving the environment.
