The Yuva Tourism Club of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya played a pivotal role in the Gyan Kumbh 2024 program, a joint initiative with Shiksha Avam Nyas. The event witnessed participation from approximately 700 students, including 70 students from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, and 60 other colleges. The program commenced on 1st and 2nd October 2024, with a warm welcome by Dr. Chinmay Pandya sir, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dev Sanskriti Vishvavidyalaya, who shared his thoughts on education and knowledge. Dr. Arunesh Parashar, Co-ordinator of Yuva Tourism Club played a crucial role in managing this event. The event was mesmerized by the presence of a special guest, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, and the Governor of Uttarakhand. Volunteers from the Tourism Youth Club, Dev Sanskriti University, NCC, NSS, MBA and BBA students, and faculties from the Tourism Department participated. Activities of Yuva Tourism Club - Presentation on posters and essays by Yuva Tourism Club members - Scientific exhibition by students from various universities - Presentations on cleanliness and sanitation - Shramdaan (voluntary labor) and cleanliness drive - Painting competition - Hospitality and accommodation arrangements by Tourism Department students Students who excelled in the different competitions were felicitated with awards. The Jnan Kumbh 2024 program showcased the talents and capabilities of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya students and demonstrated the Yuva Tourism Club's commitment to community service and knowledge sharing.

The Government School of Chail, in collaboration with the India Tourism Shimla Office, organized a poster-making competition on the theme of cleanliness. Students actively participated, promoting awareness about hygiene and environmental conservation. Following the competition, a lecture on the importance of sustainable tourism was delivered, highlighting its role in preserving natural resources and fostering responsible travel practices. To reinforce these values, a plantation drive was conducted, during which around 50 medicinal plants were planted by the students. The event successfully emphasized environmental responsibility and sustainable tourism, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and the local community.
