Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (Uttarakhand)

GyanKumbh 2024

The Yuva Tourism Club of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya played a pivotal role in the Gyan Kumbh 2024 program, a joint initiative with Shiksha Avam Nyas. The event witnessed participation from approximately 700 students, including 70 students from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, and 60 other colleges. The program commenced on 1st and 2nd October 2024, with a warm welcome by Dr. Chinmay Pandya sir, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dev Sanskriti Vishvavidyalaya, who shared his thoughts on education and knowledge. Dr. Arunesh Parashar, Co-ordinator of Yuva Tourism Club played a crucial role in managing this event. The event was mesmerized by the presence of a special guest, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, and the Governor of Uttarakhand. Volunteers from the Tourism Youth Club, Dev Sanskriti University, NCC, NSS, MBA and BBA students, and faculties from the Tourism Department participated. Activities of Yuva Tourism Club - Presentation on posters and essays by Yuva Tourism Club members - Scientific exhibition by students from various universities - Presentations on cleanliness and sanitation - Shramdaan (voluntary labor) and cleanliness drive - Painting competition - Hospitality and accommodation arrangements by Tourism Department students Students who excelled in the different competitions were felicitated with awards. The Jnan Kumbh 2024 program showcased the talents and capabilities of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya students and demonstrated the Yuva Tourism Club's commitment to community service and knowledge sharing.

हंसराज मॉडल स्कूल पंजाबी बाग. प्रतिवर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष की हिंदी भाषा के संवर्धन हेतु विद्यालय में हिंदी पखवाड़े का आयोजन किया गया. 20 अगस्त 2024 से 31 अगस्त 2024 तक विभिन्न कक्षाओं के लिए विभिन्न गतिविधियों और प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया. जैसे भाषण प्रतियोगिता वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता काव्य पाठ कवि सम्मेलन. एकल अभिनय नाट्य मंचन. आशु भाषण. समाचार वाचन. आदि गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया. जिसके अंतर्गत छात्र-छात्राओं ने. बड़े उत्साह से अपनी सक्रिय भागीदारी ता का प्रदर्शन किया. छात्र-छात्राओं के उत्साह वर्धन हेतु विद्यालय ने प्रथम द्वितीय और तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले. बच्चों को पुरस्कृत भी किया.

Under the initiative "Swachhata Hi Seva," the students successfully conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive. Their efforts were aimed at promoting cleanliness in the college campus and surrounding areas, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among students and staff. The initiative involved a thorough cleanup of the college grounds, classrooms, and common areas. The students also ventured into the nearby neighborhoods, removing litter and debris from public spaces. Through their dedicated efforts, the Yuva Tourism Club helped to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the entire community.

World tourism Day 2024

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India field office in Uttarakhand, in partnership with the Renaissance Institute of Hotel Management and Technology, celebrated World Tourism Day 2024, focusing on the importance of tourism and sustainable practices. Shri Mitesh Semwal, Director of RIMT, opened the event, followed by Dr. Swarna Gupta, Manager of Uttarakhand, who presented the Ministry's initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and enhance the sector's contribution to the economy. Shri Amit Singh Assistant Manager Uttarakhand, facilitated the Travel for Life pledge, which saw enthusiastic participation from 60 students and the institute staff. Shri Shubham Pahwa from Indigo Airlines inspired students with insights into diverse career opportunities in the Aviation industry. The celebration also highlighted Uttarakhand's rich cultural heritage through vibrant performances and local cuisines. Prizes were awarded for outstanding contributions in cultural and culinary competitions, creating a memorable and impactful event focused on sustainability, local culture, and career development.

Members of the Yuva Tourism Club of Sambhota Tibetan School, Shimla have visited Wildflower Hall for an industrial visit, where they explored various aspects of the hotel industry. The students were given a tour of key departments, including the Front Office, Kitchen, and the different types of rooms. They also learned about the operational procedures in a luxury heritage hotel. This visit provided valuable insights into the hospitality industry and the heritage significance of Wildflower Hall.

Swachhata Hi Seva: A Campaign for Cleanliness and Conservation Date: 17th September to 2nd October 2024 Organizer: Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, Uttarakhand Yuva Tourism Club students, with NCC, NSS, and others. Total Volunteers: Approximately 300 students and teachers from Dev Sanskriti Tourism Youth Club, NSS, NCC, and the School of Technology Communication and Management. Coordination: The program was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Arunesh Parashar, the coordinator of the Youth Tourism Club. Venue: Haripur Kala, a surrounding village area, and the Dev Sanskriti University Campus. Highlights: Massive Sanitation Drive: The campaign focused on a comprehensive sanitation drive, aiming to clean up the designated areas and promote cleanliness awareness. Conservation Efforts: In addition to sanitation, the volunteers actively participated in conservation initiatives, such as planting trees, cleaning water bodies, and preserving natural resources. Community Engagement: The campaign fostered a sense of community involvement by encouraging local residents to participate and contribute to the cleanliness efforts. Plantation drive and Sustainable Tourism lecture

The Government School of Chail, in collaboration with the India Tourism Shimla Office, organized a poster-making competition on the theme of cleanliness. Students actively participated, promoting awareness about hygiene and environmental conservation. Following the competition, a lecture on the importance of sustainable tourism was delivered, highlighting its role in preserving natural resources and fostering responsible travel practices. To reinforce these values, a plantation drive was conducted, during which around 50 medicinal plants were planted by the students. The event successfully emphasized environmental responsibility and sustainable tourism, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and the local community.
