St. Thomas School, Shimla.

Swachhata Pakwada

Members of Yuva Tourism Club, St Thomas School Shimla participated along with NCC wing in an event Green-a - thon in association with Army training command Artrac Shimla .A lecture on importance of Swachta, plantation, cleanliness was given by Subedar A.P. TRIPATHI. Col. Naveen Kumar graced the occasion as Chief guest. Plant saplings were distributed to all participants to aware the students for conservation of environment under the Swachta hi seva campaign. Students were motivated to minimise the plastic waste in their daily life and for plantation derive.

workshop on 'Menstrual Hygiene and Washroom Etiquettes'

Yuva Tourism Club of Hansraj Model School, Punjabi Bagh organized a workshop on 'Menstrual Hygiene and Washroom Etiquettes' for Grade IX and X girls. The session emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene, nutritious diets during this period, different sanitary products, and sustainable disposal methods. It also encouraged breaking taboos by discussing these topics openly and taught proper toilet etiquettes for maintaining clean public spaces. They designed e- posters highlighting the same theme which were placed in the school washrooms.

Swachhata Pledge

Indiatourism Delhi organized a significant event for more than 60 members of the Yuva Tourism Club of Mamta Model Sr Secondary School, Vikaspuri to take the Swachhta Hi Sewa pledge. The initiative, held as part of the nationwide Swachhta campaign, emphasized the collective responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. The students and staff enthusiastically participated, reaffirming their commitment to fostering a cleaner, greener environment and promoting sustainable practices. The pledge reinforced the importance of individual and community efforts in contributing to the broader vision of a Swachh Bharat (Clean India).

Cleanliness Drive

The Yuva Tourism Club of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, conducted a cleanliness drive on campus as a part of swachata hi seva initiative. Volunteers cleaned the college building, kitchen, restaurant, bar, storage room, and classrooms. Educational sessions were also held to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The drive aimed to create a cleaner, healthier, and more conducive learning environment.

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

As part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative, The Yuva Tourism Club of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, organized a plantation drive on the university campus, making a meaningful contribution to nature conservation and strengthening support for the green movement. The program concluded with a successful poster-making competition, engaging students from diverse disciplines such as BBA, MBA TTM, NCC, Scout and Guide, and NSS. This creative platform provided an opportunity for participants to express their reflections on the importance of trees and the profound bond of motherly love.

Sustainable Journeys, Timeless Memories

The Indiatourism Field Office Dehradun, Uttarakhand collaborated with Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, thereby engaging 150 students and teachers of the School of Hotel Management & Tourism. Dr. Swarna Gupta, delivered an insightful talk titled "Sustainable Journeys, Timeless Memories." The session provided hospitality students with valuable insights into the travel and tourism industry, covering various career opportunities. A key event spotlighted the "Dekho Apna Desh People's Choice 2024" campaign, with participants actively casting live votes for their favorite destinations. Additionally, the event also focused on sustainability, featuring the Awakening Jingle, promoting responsible travel, and encouraging participation in the "Pro Planet People" initiative. Shri Amit Singh, facilitated the "Travel for Life" pledge.

SHEAT Public School has conducted a plantation drive on 27 August, 2024 under 'एक पेड़ माँ के नाम अभियान' in the school premises under the guidance of Principal Ma'am and other school staffs. Students from grade 6-10 have participated with full enthusiasm and awareness regarding tree plantation and its necessity for the upcoming generation related to ecological balance.

Induction Program & “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम” पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम

The occasion was #एक पेड़ मां के नाम #Plant4Mother drive by the faculty, students and guests at the Faculty of Arts, BHU, where in the plantation drive was undertaken. This drive was spearheaded by Sh. Pawas Prasoon,Assistant Director, Indiatourism Varanasi, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India who was the Chief Guest at the induction programme at BHU. He while planting the saplings called upon 1st year students to nurture the plants throughout their stay at BHU considering the special theme under which the drive was initiated.
