IHM Lucknow celebrates National Tourism Day and following activities were organized in which students from Yuva Tourism Club participated and later it was followed by Travel for life pledge and National Anthem. 1) Essay writing competition : Topic for essay writing: English - 'Rural and Community Centric Tourism'. Hindi - ‘ग्रामीण और सामुदायिक केंद्रित पर्यटन’ 2) Quiz competition : Topics include - Ancient cities names, Millets, Ganga Vilas, Heritage Monuments, Cuisines, Temples and shrines etc. 3) Reel making competition : Topic for Reel Making: "Hamari Dharohar Hamari Pehchan" "हमारी धरोहर हमारी पहचान"

An initiative was taken by the India Tourism North for giving an Induction session to all the Yuva Tourism Club Teacher In-charge of schools in Chandigarh through hybrid mode. It was communicated how the Hon’ble Prime Minister has highlighted Tourism as a medium that fosters national integration and unity amongst people from different parts of the country. Also the vision of Yuva Tourism Club which is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. Participation in Tourism Clubs is also expected to facilitate development of soft skills like teamwork, management, leadership besides encouraging adoption of responsible tourism practices and concern for sustainable tourism. Through tourism clubs activities, students would gain exposure to the rich diversity of India and value its rich civilization. Tourism would enhance their sense of belongingness towards the nation was communicated through this session.

The JNV (Odhan, Haryana) organized an excursion trip for their 9th-grade students to Agroha town in Hisar district. The site of Agroha is traditionally believed to be the Capital of the legendary king Maharaja Agrasena of the Agrawal community. The students visited various historical and cultural sites such as the ancient mound of Agroha, which is an important archaeological site and was once the capital of the Agroha Kingdom. The students also visited the Fort of Hansi, which is a significant historical landmark and played a crucial role during the medieval period. In addition to that, the students also explored Ruined Wuila, an old Mughal-era village, which is now in ruins but still holds historical importance. They also visited Gujri Mahal, a beautiful palace built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the region. Overall, the excursion trip was an enriching experience for the students as they got a chance to learn about the rich history and culture of the region and witness some of the significant historical landmarks.

The Yuva Tourism club students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector 31 were taken for a day excursion to the National Gallery of Portraits in Chandigarh. The museum is the house of many portraits and recorded voices of great leaders of India, paintings, photos, sculptures and even some rare documents related to the struggle of India's freedom movement. Its key collection is on Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji. The visuals and documents which are displayed in the gallery tell the story of how the people of India waged a struggle to win back their freedom and to build a new India and give a glimpse of the reawakening of India from the time of first war of independence of 1857 to the achievement of freedom in 1947 when India fulfilled her 'tryst with destiny' and assumed rightful place in the country of free nations. The gallery displays forty one well researched computer generated photo and document panels which have been collected from the known historical research organizations, institutions and archives of the country. The panels are supported by the oil paintings of portraits, metal and plaster cast sculptures of selected freedom fighters, murals and dioramas. The children had a very fruitful trip.

The Students of Classes VI- X went on a Jungle Safari to Jim Corbett National Park from 14-18March .They also visited the Dhangarhi Museum .The students made blogs and shared their experiences through writeups. The students were divided into groups who worked on the topics like History of Jim Corbett ,Importance of National park etc.

Ministry of Tourism Northern Region, Government of India organised a Workshop of Yuva Tourism Club at Amity University, Greater Noida on May 1, 2023. The Ministry of Tourism helped the students to form a Yuva Tourism Club in their university. The Regional Director (North) being the guest speaker and gave presentation on the Yuva Tourism Club, as well as the importance and significance of tourism. The workshop was attended by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan (Founder President), Dr. Atul Chauhan (Chancellor), and Dr. Ajay Rana (Director General) along with 50 students of Amity University. It's great to see that such esteemed personalities were present to encourage the students to take an interest in tourism and be a part of the Yuva Tourism Club. The students were able to learn about the various benefits of tourism and how they can contribute towards promoting it through the Yuva Tourism Club. This will not only enhance their knowledge but also encourage them to explore various opportunities in the tourism industry. At the end of the event, the Regional Director (North) appreciated the hosting team and presented them with souvenirs as a token of appreciation. This gesture must have motivated the team to host more such events in the future and promote tourism in a better way.

On the occasion of National Tourism Day, GMSSSS Batur in Panchkula, Haryana conducted a poster-making activity to raise awareness among the students about the importance of tourism in our country. The activity was organized for students of classes 7th and 8th, and approximately 25 students participated in it. The objective of the activity was to encourage students to showcase their creativity and imagination by designing posters related to tourism in India. The posters created by the students reflected the diverse cultural heritage, natural beauty, and historical significance of various tourist destinations in India. Overall, the poster-making activity organized by GMSSSS Batur was a great initiative to raise awareness about the importance of tourism in our country and to encourage students to become responsible tourists and ambassadors of our rich cultural heritage.

An introduction to Yuva Tourism Club was given to all the students in Shivalik Public School. The students were really excited and showed their interest to join the club and were really motivated to take up, lead activities under the club. An Essay writing competition was organised by the teacher coordinators, Ms. Rimpy Walia, Dr. Anuja Thakur and Ms. Rimpy Gambhir of Yuva Tourism Club in Shivalik Public School Chandigarh. The main motive of this was to make the students realise and understand the importance of tourism, how it contributes to the national income and also how the importance of tourism is demonstrated throughout the world. From the economic advantages that tourism brings to host communities and to the enjoyment that tourism brings to the tourists themselves, and makes them aware that there is no disputing the value of this industry. And also the members of the Yuva Tourism club had initiated for an activity of poster making scheduled for the students on environmental impact of Tourism. The students had participated with great passion and interest in both the activities.

Indiatourism Chandigarh organized a day excursion for the Yuva Tourism Club Students of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of hotel management, to the ‘Capitol Complex’ which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour covered the area of Capitol Complex spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh's architecture. It comprises three buildings: the Palace of Assembly or Legislative Assembly, Secretariat Building and the High Court plus four monuments Open Hand Monument, Tower of Shadows, Geometric Hill and the Martyrs Monument. The tour was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn about the modern history of Chandigarh as it is one of the most monumental Architectural compositions of modern architecture by Le Corbusier arising out of unique geo-political and cultural setting. The students were able to explore the Open Hand Monument which is a symbolic structure designed by the architect Le Corbusier and is the emblem and symbol of the Government of Chandigarh and symbolizes "the hand to give and the hand to take, peace and prosperity, and the unity of mankind". The Open Hand sculptures, which stands 26 metres (85 ft.) high. The metal structure with vanes is 14 meters (46 ft.) high, weighs 50 short tons (100,000 lb.), and was designed to rotate in the wind. The Tower of Shadows, Le Corbusier constructed it in such a way that not a single ray of sun enters it from any angle. The north side of this tower remains open because the sun never shines from this direction. Le Corbusier used the same principle for other Capitol Complex buildings as well. These 'monuments' including the Open Hand, Martyr's Memorial, Geometric hill, Tower of Shades, '24 Solar hours' and have reliefs on raw exposed concrete. The most prominent and visible of these is the 85 feet high Open Hand soaring in the sky, silhouetted against the resplendent backdrop of the timeless Himalayas. Overall, the tour of Capitol Complex was an enriching experience for the students.

An introduction to Yuva tourism club session was conducted in Punjab University. The vision of Yuva Tourism Club which is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism and who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism was conveyed. The students were acquainted with the concept of YTC and made them realize that they could be the young ambassadors who would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India.
