Kendriya Vidyalaya ITBP Gauchar Chamoli District Uttarakhand
Run for Unity Uttarakhand
On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, on October 31, 2023, the Yuva Tourism Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya ITBP Gauchar Chamoli District Uttarakhand organized a Run for Unity event. Students from all grades participated in the event, which began with a brief speech by the school Principal on the importance of national unity and the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The Run for Unity event was a resounding success. It was a great way to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and to promote the message of national unity among students. On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) in collaboration with the Yuva Tourism Club, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri Jammu and Kashmir to observe the national unity day. The Ministry of Tourism Govt of India, Field office Srinagar (North) organised Run for Unity event in which students and faculty members participated, after the run unity pledge ceremony was organised to unite the nation in one, Students were also told about why Ekta Diwas is celebrated the birth anniversary of the Iron man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, students were delited to know the stories told by the teachers about Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his vision for a united and strong India. Those who were present on the occasion included Dr Danish Iqbal Raina, Deputy Director Centre for Hospitality and Tourism, Mr. Raveesh Sharma, Dr. Shahnawaz Chowdhury and Mr. Zakir Hussain faculty members of the Centre.

The principal of the college Mr. Shabir Ahmed, Coordinator & lecturer Mr. Vagish Mishra and other faculty members were also present in the pledge ceremony.
