Ministry of Tourism Govt of India (North) organised education tour to Lucknow for members of Yuva Tourism Club of school B. S. B. V Science education Centre, Ghatmpur, Kanpur on 12.02.2023. Approx 40 Students of YTC first visited The Lucknow Residency. It served as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of the Nawab. Later students visited regional science city - Interactive science & technology museum with a 3D movie, park & aquarium exhibits

Uttar Pradesh view allAn initiative was taken by the India Tourism North for giving an Induction session to all the Yuva Tourism Club Teacher In-charge of schools in Chandigarh through hybrid mode. It was communicated how the Hon’ble Prime Minister has highlighted Tourism as a medium that fosters national integration and unity amongst people from different parts of the country. Also the vision of Yuva Tourism Club which is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. Participation in Tourism Clubs is also expected to facilitate development of soft skills like teamwork, management, leadership besides encouraging adoption of responsible tourism practices and concern for sustainable tourism. Through tourism clubs activities, students would gain exposure to the rich diversity of India and value its rich civilization. Tourism would enhance their sense of belongingness towards the nation was communicated through this session.
Chandigarh view allThe Yuva tourism club - Atharva college of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Mumbai organized the cleanliness drive at the Kanheri Caves in Sanjay Gandhi National park , Borivali, Mumbai on 03.12.2022. The Yuva tourism club members participated with a lot of enthusiasm and also spread the message of "Keep our Tourist Spots Clean" to the visitors and vendors of Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Kanheri Caves. ACHMCT is maintaining the goal of keeping India clean & safe.
Maharashtra view allYuva Tourism club, St.Kabir High School Navrangpura Ahmedabad visited Gujarat Legislative Assembly at Gandhinagar. The trip helped the students to understand about Constitution Design, Working of Institution and Electoral Politics in Civics. The YTC members witnessed a live –session of Assembly. They learnt about the decorum and dignity which has to be maintained during the proceedings of the house. The architecture of the Vidhan Sabha, the vast lawns of Vidhan Sabha were added bonus for the participants.
Gujrat view allStreet food is an important element of tourist experiences across the world. Mumbai boasts of an amazing offering of street food across the city. On the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada, Indiatourism Mumbai in association with IHM Mumbai organized a sensitisation drive on cleanliness and hygiene for street food vendors ‘Khau Galli’ in Nariman Point which is popular among tourists. IHM students carried placards with slogans on cleanliness and also interacted with the vendors. This was well received by all the vendors who also requested permanent signages to be put by ITM.
Maharashtra view allHeritage Tours are a perfect opportunity to introduce the young to their culture and tourist spots. In the words of St. Kabir School Naranpura, Ahmedabad , 'Though the YTC members of school are born and brought up in Ahmedabad, they have never really experienced the city as a tourist destination!'. Indiatourism Mumbai organized a heritage tour for the YTC members of the school to understand and appreciate the necessity of " Keeping Our Tourist Spots Clean". The tour was conducted in an open deck bus and covered all the important sightseeing in the city such as Riverfront, Siddhi Sayyed mosque, Relief Road, Bhadrakali temple and the surrounding market, , Dada Harir Stepwell, Bhadra fort, Astodia gate, the Shaking Minarets and Rani Sipri ki Masjid. The students were fascinated to see the hidden Ahmedabad beyond what they see every day! The students helped to spread awareness of Keeping Tourist Spots Clean through banners, placards, slogans and also a Nukkad Natak in the premises of Bhadrakali Temple.
Gujrat view allThe JNV (Odhan, Haryana) organized an excursion trip for their 9th-grade students to Agroha town in Hisar district. The site of Agroha is traditionally believed to be the Capital of the legendary king Maharaja Agrasena of the Agrawal community. The students visited various historical and cultural sites such as the ancient mound of Agroha, which is an important archaeological site and was once the capital of the Agroha Kingdom. The students also visited the Fort of Hansi, which is a significant historical landmark and played a crucial role during the medieval period. In addition to that, the students also explored Ruined Wuila, an old Mughal-era village, which is now in ruins but still holds historical importance. They also visited Gujri Mahal, a beautiful palace built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the region. Overall, the excursion trip was an enriching experience for the students as they got a chance to learn about the rich history and culture of the region and witness some of the significant historical landmarks.
Haryana view allThe Yuva Tourism club students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector 31 were taken for a day excursion to the National Gallery of Portraits in Chandigarh. The museum is the house of many portraits and recorded voices of great leaders of India, paintings, photos, sculptures and even some rare documents related to the struggle of India's freedom movement. Its key collection is on Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji. The visuals and documents which are displayed in the gallery tell the story of how the people of India waged a struggle to win back their freedom and to build a new India and give a glimpse of the reawakening of India from the time of first war of independence of 1857 to the achievement of freedom in 1947 when India fulfilled her 'tryst with destiny' and assumed rightful place in the country of free nations. The gallery displays forty one well researched computer generated photo and document panels which have been collected from the known historical research organizations, institutions and archives of the country. The panels are supported by the oil paintings of portraits, metal and plaster cast sculptures of selected freedom fighters, murals and dioramas. The children had a very fruitful trip.
Chandigarh view allBeach/Park Cleaning at Priyadarshini Park, Mumbai. On 17th September 2022 Indiatourism Mumbai along with the Yuva Tourism Club of Garware Institute of Career Education and Development took up the task of Coastal Cleanliness as part of fortnight long celebration of Clean India 2022. 17th September is also International Coastal Clean Up Day which is about raising awareness for pollution in the sea. Indiatourism cleaned the beach at Priyadarshini Park, a prime tourist attraction of the city. Regional Director of West & Central led the event himself where citizens also joined in the effort. Swachhata Oath was administered to the participants as a promise to keep our country clean.
Maharashtra view allThe Yuva Tourism Clubs of Mumbai participated in the National Tourism Day inter college tourism quiz competition on 25th January 2023. The questions were based on tourist places in India, History, Culture and Art. 10 teams fought for the title Garware Institute claimed 1st position, Bharti Vidyapeeth 2nd and Amity University claimed the third position.
