Madhya Pradesh view allYuva Tourism Club Tirupati Chapter organized a Day long Programme to commemorate National Tourism Day . 350 students & 150 NCC cadets were part of this event across the District. Awards were distributed to the winners of Debate, Essay Writing ,Dance & Cultural events .
Andhra Pradesh view allOn 16th May, The Yuva Tourism Club IHM Ahmedabad organised a PPT presentation competition to spread awareness about the health benefits of millets in our diet under the aegis of United Nations declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets. The participants had prepared a PPT in advance and presented in the class. Total 3 PPTs were presented and 22 students were present in the attendees.
Gujrat view allA quiz competition was organised on 2/11/22 on the theme of Indian Tourism, Culture, and Traditions. The quiz comprising 4 teams of 3 participants each. The Quiz comprised of 3 rounds. The first round was a general round with 5 questions for each team, Second round was an audio Visual Round, and the third round was a rapid fire round, at the end the Winners and Runner-up were facilitated with Certificates.
Gujrat view allIndiatourism Silvassa hosted a plantation drive for the Yuva Tourism Club of IHM & CT Silvassa to celebrate the International Day of Forest on 21st March 2023 at the IHM Silvassa campus. The students and faculty coordinator participated in the plantation drive. The theme for International Day of Forests 2023 is 'forests and health. ' The International Day of Forests, also known as World Forests Day is celebrated each year on March 21 to raise awareness about the importance of forests and trees for the survival of humanity and the planet.
Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu view allThe Tagore International School, Mansarovar, Jaipur (Rajasthan) organized a Nature Trip for their 6th – 8th grade students (YTC members) to Kulish Smriti Van in Jaipur on 06th May, 2023. Smriti Van is famous for its mesmerizing stroll through the dense vegetation, narrow trails, bird watching, photography and nature stay. The sstudents visited the different parts of Smriti Van such as Vasundhara Van known for a variety of plantation including Mogra, Champa, Almonda, Coral trees and many more, Champa Van which is having 108 types of fragrant and vibrant flowers, Aravali Van is having special kind of plants that have medicinal and Ayurvedic importance like Hawan, Rohida, Khejdi, Dhak, Dhavada, Gugal, Saalar, etc., Dhanvantari Van that includes 250 types of herbal medicinal trees and plants, Sarovar is a five feet reservoir made for storing water. To exemplify the pond Lotus, Ducks and fishes can be seen. During winters immigrant birds visit this place, Java Kusum Van, Maru Van, Vrindavan Van and Museum. Overall, the Nature Trip was an enriching experience for the students as they got a chance to learn about the diversity of nature.
Rajasthan view allIndiatourism Silvassa hosted the Cleanliness drive and Heritage walk for the Yuva Tourism Club of IHM & CT Silvassa, UT of DNH & DD to the Fort of Moti Daman on 27th February 2023. Students actively participated in the Guided heritage walk and took the Travel for LiFE pledge with tourists, encouraging them to maintain cleanliness at the tourist destination. Exploring the fort is an opportunity to get a sneak peek into the history of Daman as you walk around it and scout through the comprising areas. Its walls encompass a large area of 30,000 square meters, which encloses the Administrator’s Secretariat, the Government House, the Cathedral of Bom Jesus, the Dominican Monastery, Bocage House (also known as the poet house), the old lighthouse, the convent school, government quarters, and several government organizations such as the public health centre, the district library, three gardens, the district court, Daman Municipal Council, etc.
Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu view allMinistry of Tourism, Government of India had organized Tourism of India Quiz during 27th September to 18th October, 2022. The quiz was a set of three quizzes which were conducted on the Mind Wars platform. It was conducted exclusively for school students from class 6th to 12th across the country. In total, 42,778 students from 5,176 schools took part in the Tourism of India Quiz on Mind Wars. Out of which, a total number of 1000 winners were chosen across the three quizzes. The selection of winners was done based on the score achieved in the quiz. 15 students from different schools in Jaipur have been selected as winners in Tourism of India Quiz. In this regard, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India organized Award distribution ceremony on 12th May, 2023 at Hotel Royal Orchid, Tonk Road, Jaipur. Shri R.K. Suman, Regional Director (North), Ministry of Tourism and Shri Syed Khaled, Chairman, Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (Rajasthan Chapter) felicitated and awarded certificates to the winners of the quiz. All the schools were advised to form Yuva Tourism Club at their respective school during the program. The members of Yuva Tourism Clubs also participated in the aforesaid event.
Rajasthan view allKendriya Vidyalaya Gwaldham has conducted a series of events to promote tourism in India under the Yuva tourism club. These events have helped to raise awareness about the importance of tourism and have also helped to showcase India's diverse cultural and natural heritage. One of the events that Kendriya Vidyalaya Gwaldham conducted was an exhibition of local food, jewelry, and culture. This exhibition gave people a chance to learn about the different cultures of India and to see some of the beautiful jewelry and food that is made in India. Another event that Kendriya Vidyalaya Gwaldham conducted was a poster-making and drawing competition. This competition gave people a chance to express their creativity and to show their support for tourism in India. Finally, Kendriya Vidyalaya Gwaldham also organized a visit to a local lake and temple. This visit gave people a chance to experience the natural beauty of India and to learn about the history and culture of the region. I hope that these events will help to promote tourism in India and encourage people to visit this amazing country. The essay writing competition provided an opportunity for students to express their thoughts and ideas on various aspects of tourism. Participants were given a specific topic related to tourism, such as the importance of responsible tourism, the impact of tourism on the environment, or the promotion of local tourism. Students were required to research and present their ideas in a well-structured and coherent essay format. This competition not only enhanced their writing skills but also allowed them to develop a deeper understanding of the tourism industry and its significance.
Haryana view allIn the month of May on , A trip to Sanghol Museum was planned for the students on May 4, 2023 in which the students were shown the art and architecture, currency, weapons, manuscripts of Harappan culture / Indus Valley Civilization between 3300BC-1300BC etc. A brief description about the rulers was given by an expert.
Punjab view allIn the month of april Students were given a power point presentation on the tourist places of Punjab like Golden Temple , Jallianwala Bagh , Rose Garden , Rock Garden etc. Students were asked to prepare a scrap book of these places by pasting pictures and giving a brief description about these buildings
