The event provided a unique platform for students to learn about the region in an enjoyable and competitive environment. The quiz featured multiple rounds covering various aspects of Northeast India. Questions on festivals like Bihu, Hornbill, and Solung allowed participants to explore the rich cultural traditions of the region. The geographical round brought attention to iconic landmarks such as Kaziranga National Park, Tawang Monastery, and Loktak Lake, as well as unique features like the living root bridges of Meghalaya and the mighty Brahmaputra River. A miscellaneous round tested students on topics such as local cuisines, languages, and significant historical events, offering a comprehensive insight into the Northeast’s diversity.

As part of the Students Cultural Exchange Program organized under the Yuva Tourism Club initiative, three groups of students from IHM Raipur showcased the cultural heritage and tourism potential of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland. The event aimed to promote awareness of Northeast India’s diversity and traditions. The Arunachal Pradesh group focused on the state’s tribal culture and scenic landscapes. They showcased major festivals like Losar and Solung, and bamboo crafts. Tourist highlights reflecting Arunachal’s appeal to nature and culture enthusiasts. The Nagaland group celebrated the state’s vibrant tribal culture with a war songs, symbolizing unity and strength. They displayed traditional crafts such as Naga shawls and beadwork and highlighted key attractions like the Hornbill Festival, Dzükou Valley, and Kohima War Cemetery, showcasing Nagaland’s growing popularity in cultural and adventure tourism. There are 15 students participated in the competition from different branch and Students were participated very enthusiastically. On 27th September 2024, auspicious event of World Tourism Day celebration and “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat" initiative, I.H.M. Ahmedabad YTC assisted in the organisation of Gujarati and Chhattisgarh a vibrant food festival. The event included dance performances representing both the states followed by Gujarati and Chhattisgarhi lunch. The event was attended by Hoteliers, School Principals of education institutions and Tourism industry stake holders. The festival fostered cultural exchange through, allowing participants to experience the culinary diversity of both states, promoting unity and enhancing tourism through a celebration of India’s rich food heritage.
