Inauguration of Yuva Tourism Club

The inauguration ceremony of YUVA TOURISM CLUB of ST.KABIR PUBLIC SCHOOL CHANDIGARH, was held in the presence of school Principal Mrs. Shilpi Sood Gill and Assistant Nodal Officer, Mr. Raj Kumar Varman as on July 21, 2023. Student members and executive members were introduced during the event. The students interacted with Mr.Varman to discuss about the working of Yuva Tourism Club.

Plantation drive in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Dehradun Uttarakhand

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), organized a plantation drive by the students of the school. The drive was organized to create awareness about the importance of trees and to encourage the students to take care of the environment. The plantation drive was a success. The students were enthusiastic about planting trees and they took great care in planting them. The trees will help to improve the environment and will also provide a green and healthy environment for the students.

Plantation Drive

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Almora (Uttarakhand), organized a plantation drive by the students of the school. The drive was organized to create awareness about the importance of trees and to encourage the students to take care of the environment. The plantation drive was a success. The students were enthusiastic about planting trees and they took great care in planting them. The trees will help to improve the environment and will also provide a green and healthy environment for the students. The plantation drive was a part of the school's environmental awareness program. The school has been organizing such programs regularly to create awareness about the importance of the environment among the students.

Second YTC Junga Shimla Tour .

Second Tour to Junga, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). Date: 20-23 May 2023 Overall Head: Rev. Fr. Savariraj Tour Coordinator: Mr. Deepak Mamgai Tour Incharge: Mr. Deepak Mamgai Participants: Interested Students of Class 9 No. of Teachers: 6 No. of Students: 60 Key Features: - First time students came to know about a place called Junga . - Trekking and visited Junga Fort. Learnt about its History. - Interaction with Villagers while trekking. - Trekking taught them Importance of physical exercise in one’s life. - Saw local fruits, local culture, costumes… - Visit to Kufri Zoo - Visit to China Bungalow in Kufri and its importance. - Experienced scenic beauty of hills. - Night meditation with no lights, in a ground, in the hills. - Visit to Shimla. Learnt history of Shimla - Walk at Shimla Mall Road. Saw buildings. - Visit to different shops. Witnessed the costumes and Culture. - Bought things to boost economy of the state. - Visit to Chandigarh. Learnt about the Capital - Visit to Rock Garden, Chandigarh.. Other important Aspects learnt by student important for their personal growth - Group leaders were able to showcase the leadership quality and work as a team. - Tour helped to Improve Listening skills in all, as instructions were given. - Learnt to respect teachers, guide, hotel staff…. - Many bought things to boost economy of the state. - Learnt about flora and fauna - Learnt discipline as they got up and slept at dedicated time. - They learnt sharing as they shared food, room... - They showcased caring nature as they helped each other when one was injured. - They were told to take care of cleanliness wherever all visited. - Learnt about their companions, their families. Emotional bonding. - Activities/Movement kept them away from mobiles. - Away from junk food as shops were far from Resort.

Tour to Jim Corbett- Nainital (Uttarakhand). Overall Head: Rev. Fr. Savariraj Tour Coordinator: Mr. Deepak Mamgai Tour In charge: Mrs. Alice John. Participants: Interested Students of Class 6 to 8 No. of Teachers: 6 No. of Students: 58 Key Features: - - Visited Jim Corbett via Gajraula. Some students were away from their parents for the first time. - Trekking and visited Garjiya temple. - Interaction with people while trekking. - Importance of Physical exercise in one’s life as they were involved in few activities too. - Saw local fruits, culture, costumes… - Experienced scenic beauty of hills and river. - Visit and explored Nainital. - Walk at Nainital Mall Road. - Visited Naina Devi Temple and Tibetan Market - Visit to different shops. Saw the local dishes, costumes and Culture. - Early morning safari in Jim Corbett Park Other important Aspects learnt by student important for their personal growth 1. Group leaders were able to showcase the leadership quality and work as a team. 2. Tour helped to improve listening skills in all, as instructions were given. 3. Learnt to respect teachers, guide, hotel staff…. 4. Bought things to boast economy of the state. 5. Learnt about flora and fauna in Jim Corbett Park 6. Learnt Discipline as they got up and slept at dedicated time. 7. Sharing food, room..With each other. 8. Witnessed Caring nature as they helped each other when one was injured. 9. Tree Plantation Program

Yuva Tourism Club members of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Kufri, Shimla organised Tree plantation program near waterbodies of wildlife sanctuary Kufri, Shimla. Total 40 students of Yuva Tourism club, Environment Club and staff members collaborating with the Forest department of Himachal Pradesh successfully planted trees together creating an awareness for preserving the nature and making a positive impact.

As the Yuva Tourism Club sets out on its journey, the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering, and Nutrition, Kufri Shimla, eagerly anticipates the incredible contributions these Yuva Tourism Club members will make to the world of travel.

Students of Yuva Tourism Club ,NC Jindal Public school , Punjabi Bagh ,New Delhi attended a cultural program "Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar" ,organised by Ministry of culture and inagurated by Union Home Minister and Ministry of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah on 27 July 2023 at Qutub Minar .
