As part of the 46th World Heritage Committee meeting, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Bengaluru office organized a Heritage Walk & Awareness Program at Tipu Sultan Summer Palace, Bangalore on 22 July 2024 for the Yuva Tourism Club members of IIHM, Bangalore. 50 Yuva Tourism Club members, faculties of IIHM and officials of India Tourism attended the event.

This milestone event marked the 100th launch by ISRO and a significant achievement in India's space program. The students of grade 8 & 9, who were accompanied by their teachers, embarked on a 2-day trip to Sriharikota to witness the launch. The experience was both thrilling and educational, providing the students with a unique opportunity to learn about space exploration and the latest advancements in the field. From our school students, Ms.Jayadharshini of class 9and Master Krish Navin of 8 have interacted with the Media Personnel Personnel and Master Hayagrishwaran, Amalesh of class 9 and Harshavardhini and Haansika of class 8 have participated in Quiz. It shows our students passion and talents. The school ensured that the students were well taken care of throughout the trip, providing them with comfortable accommodation, nutritious food, and safe transportation. The staff who accompanied the students were attentive to their needs, ensuring that they had a memorable and enjoyable experience. According to , Management and Principal "We are thrilled to have provided our students with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We are grateful to ISRO for making this experience possible, and to our staff for their tireless efforts in ensuring the students' comfort and safety." The students were seen cheering and applauding as the GSLV F15 NVS 02 rocket soared into the sky, marking a momentous occasion in India's space history. The trip was a testament to Vivekanandam Vidyashram 's commitment to providing its students with experiential learning opportunities that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. It was a thrilling and tremendous one!

Field Visit on National Tourism Day 2025

As part of the National Tourism Day celebrations on Saturday 25th January 2025, a field visit was organized for our students. A group of 20 students and 2 faculty members from our Research Department Hotel Management and Catering Science visited the Saraswathi Mahal Library, Palace, and Museum in Thanjavur. This visit aimed to enrich students’ understanding of India's cultural heritage, historical architecture, and the role of museums and libraries in preserving the country’s rich past. The visit began at 9:30 a.m., with the group first exploring the Saraswathi Mahal Library, renowned for its vast collection of rare manuscripts, ancient texts, and books. The students were introduced to the library’s preservation techniques and its role in historical research. The film show was also provided by the Officials of Saraswathi Mahal which gave further insight into the rich heritage of Thanjavur, serving as a captivating introduction to the historical significance of the area. After the library, the group toured the nearby Thanjavur Palace and Museum, where students explored the royal architecture and the extensive collection of artefacts, sculptures, and paintings that reflect the grandeur of the Maratha dynasty. The visit ended at 1:00 p.m., leaving the students with a deep appreciation for the cultural and historical significance of the Saraswathi Mahal Library, Thanjavur Palace, and Museum, and an understanding of their role in promoting both academic and tourism interests.
