Swachhata Pakhwada at Mamallapuram. As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada Calendar of the Ministry of Tourism, Indiatourism Chennai organized a special cleanliness drive on 29th September 2025 at the iconic Shore Temple, Mamallapuram. In collaboration with Mamallapuram Municipality, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and IHMCT Taramani, Chennai, the campaign was inaugurated by Smt. Valarmathi Yesvanthrao, Chairperson, Mamallapuram Municipality, in the presence of the Regional Director (South), Indiatourism Chennai, ASI officials, and Indiatourism team. Over 40 IHM students and visiting students from Sri Umamaheswar High School, Kurnool, enthusiastically joined hands to clean the temple environs and the pathway to the beachfront. Together, we are working towards clean, sustainable, and responsible tourism.

As part of #SpecialCampaign5.0, a vibrant painting competition was organised by Indiatourism Chennai for Class V students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar, Chennai on the theme โKeeping Our Monuments and Tourist Places Clean.โ The young artists beautifully expressed the importance of cleanliness through colours and creativity โ reminding us that a clean India begins with each one of us. On 2nd October 2025, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Annanagar, Chennai organized a Cleanliness Drive in the school campus as part of Swachh Bharat Diwas. Around 50 NCC, Scouts & Guides students participated enthusiastically in the drive and took out a rally within the GPRA Campus, Thirumangalam, Chennai, spreading awareness on cleanliness and civic responsibility. Indiatourism Chennai joined the initiative and encouraged the students by distributing participation certificates and Incredible India souvenirs. Held under the framework of Special Campaign 5.0, the program paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhiโs vision of a clean India and inspired young students to embrace cleanliness as a civic duty.

This educational journey offered us deep insights into the architectural brilliance of the Chola dynasty, the artistic excellence of Tamil culture, and the natural beauty of Tamil Nadu. โจ Highlights of the Visit: ๐๏ธ Thanjavur โ Witnessed the grandeur of the Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a timeless example of Chola architecture. ๐๏ธ Tharasuram โ Explored the Airavatesvara Temple, renowned for its intricate carvings and spiritual charm. ๐ง Anaikarai Dam โ Enjoyed a peaceful lunch surrounded by lush greenery and scenic beauty, appreciating the importance of water conservation. ๐ฏ Gangaikonda Cholapuram โ Experienced the majestic legacy of Rajendra Chola I and the artistic refinement of Chola architecture. The visit not only enriched our understanding of heritage tourism and cultural preservation but also reminded us of the importance of safeguarding these magnificent monuments for future generations. Mount Abu Public School celebrated World Tourism Day along with Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign throughout the week. Various activities were organised at different levels. Learners of Primary school participated in a heritage walk where they prepared pla cards and talked about various places of Tourism. Learners of middle school prepared digital infographics related to places of Tourism and talked about their heritage and importance. Learners of secondary school presented a radio show and talked about the importance of cleanliness around us. Learners of senior secondary school participated in shram daan and participated in cleanliness drive at Sheesh Mahal, Shalimar Bagh and Vasudev Ghar. Overall, the learners understood the importance of cleanliness and were acquainted with various places of Tourism importance.

Indiatourism Delhi organized a Heritage Walk for the students of IHM on 25th September 2025 under Seva Parv. The day commenced with participation in the event โReviving the Culinary Treasures of Indiaโ held at Bharat Mandapam during World Food India 2025. Subsequently, the group proceeded to Humayunโs Tomb for the Heritage Walk. A total of 32 students, accompanied by their faculty member, and 02 officials from Indiatourism Delhi participated in the activity. All participants took part with great enthusiasm, making the initiative a meaningful blend of cultural learning and experiential exposure to Indiaโs rich heritage.
