Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign

Mount Abu Public School enthusiastically organised the Swachhta Hi Seva Programme as part of the nationwide cleanliness campaign. The event aimed at spreading awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. Students, teachers, and staff actively participated in a variety of activities such as: Cleanliness Drive within and outside the school premises. Awareness Rally with slogans and placards promoting the message of a clean India. Tree Plantation & Waste Segregation Activities to instill eco-friendly habits. Poster-making & Essay Competitions on the theme of “Cleanliness is Service.”

World Tourism Day along with Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign

Mount Abu Public School celebrated World Tourism Day along with Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign throughout the week. Various activities were organised at different levels. Learners of Primary school participated in a heritage walk where they prepared pla cards and talked about various places of Tourism. Learners of middle school prepared digital infographics related to places of Tourism and talked about their heritage and importance. Learners of secondary school presented a radio show and talked about the importance of cleanliness around us. Learners of senior secondary school participated in shram daan and participated in cleanliness drive at Sheesh Mahal, Shalimar Bagh and Vasudev Ghar. Overall, the learners understood the importance of cleanliness and were acquainted with various places of Tourism importance.

World Tourism week from 20th- 27th September to highlight the significance of tourism in promoting cultural exchange, economic growth, and sustainable development The theme for World Tourism Day 2025 is "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation," .Following activities were conducted by the students Heritage Quiz: showcasing local cultural, heritage and historical sites. Cultural Exhibitions: students made posters on Monuments of India and traditional Mandala art of Temples to promote cultural exchange. Awareness Campaigns students decorated the tourism board and created awareness for sustainable tourism practices and cultural exchange

Heritage Walk under Seva Parv- 2025

Indiatourism Delhi organized a Heritage Walk for the students of IHM on 25th September 2025 under Seva Parv. The day commenced with participation in the event “Reviving the Culinary Treasures of India” held at Bharat Mandapam during World Food India 2025. Subsequently, the group proceeded to Humayun’s Tomb for the Heritage Walk. A total of 32 students, accompanied by their faculty member, and 02 officials from Indiatourism Delhi participated in the activity. All participants took part with great enthusiasm, making the initiative a meaningful blend of cultural learning and experiential exposure to India’s rich heritage.

WORLD TOURISM DAY 2025

World Tourism day was celebrated at CMR University, City Campus by Yuva Tourism Club of School of Liberal studies on 25th September,2025 from 2,30 pm to 4.00 pm in AV Hall. The event was organised by Dr G Saravana Kumar Professor emeritus and Yuva Tourism club coordinator from School of liberal studies and Dr Latha Krishnan, Dean, SLS. The theme announced for this year by UN Tourism was Tourism and Sustainable Transformation. As part of the celebration we had 5 competitions namely Essay, world countries tourism painting , Poster making based on theme, Tourism Quiz and one minute reels (video) competition. The main event was conducted on 25th September and the Chief guest was Mr Srinivas Rao, Cluster Director HR of Hilton Manyata Group of Hotels. The event was presided by Dr HB Raghavendra Vice Chancellor of CMR University. Chief guest spoke on the opportunities in Hotel Industry and explained how students should equip themselves with additional skills and adapt themselves to new environment and work culture. Vice chancellor said it was first time World tourism day is being celebrated in CMR University and said in the next year it should be celebrated combining all campus of CMRU and appreciated the Yuva tourism Club,School of liberal studies for taking the initiative. The event also had the inaugural of Yuva Tourism Club which is sponsored by Ministry of Tourism and it was symbolically inaugurated by our Vice chancellor Dr HB Raghavendra and chief guest Mr Srinivas Rao in the presence of Dr Latha Krishnan Dean SLS. The event started with invocation Bharatha Natyam dance by Ms Deva Nanda of MSc Psychology 1 sem,which was on lord Rama and was very professional. It was followed by Welcome address by Dr Latha Krishnan, dean SLS and felicitation of chief guest by our Vice chancellor. We also had the investiture ceremony for Yuva club student members for whom badges were fixed by the dignitaries and they took a pledge for responsible traveller read by Dr G Saravana kumar, Yuva tourism club coordinator. There was a tourism cultural ramp walk showcasing 8 states of India performed by students of SLS actually native of the respective states with a commentary on the tourism and culture which was very colourful and appreciated by the audience. There was a hindi song performance by Ms. Debleena Msc Psychology 1 sem student. Prizes were distributed to all the winners of various competitions by the dignitaries along with certificates. Videos of competitions conducted, Malaysia host country and Karnataka tourism were played. Ministry of tourism had sponsored Yuva tourism club badges were fixed to Yuva tourism club members on stage and Pledge for responsible traveller was administered by Dr G Saravana Kumar Professor and Yuva Tourism club coordinator for CMR University to the student members and tourism brochures were issued to the students. The event ended with Vote of thanks by Dr G Saravana Kumar, Professor emeritus and Yuva tourism club coordinator, CMR University.

World Tourism day Celebration

In order to celebrate the World Tourism Day, the Yuva Tourism Club of Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Uthamapalayam, Tamil Nadu organized a special Talk on the United Nations World Tourism Organizations theme, ‘Tourism and Sustainable Transformation’ on 26. 09.2025. Dr. M. Jannathul Firdhouse, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Uthamapalayam served as the Resource Person of the programme. The event aimed to create awareness among students about sustainable and responsible tourism practices. In her address, Dr. Jannathul Firdhouse emphasized the need for sustainable tourism and highlighted how the tourism industry impacts the environment. Forty-five students benefited out of the programme.

From Excavation to Civilization: Field Visit to Keezhadi and Madurai

The Yuva Tourism Club of Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College organized a one-day field trip for women’s students on the theme ‘From Excavation to Civilization: Field Visit to Keezhadi and Madurai’ on 21.08.2025. A team of 47 students, along with four faculty members took part in the trip. The team visited the Archaeological Museum at Keezhadi in Sivagangai District and the Kalaingar Centenary Library located in Madurai which is one of the largest libraries in Tamil Nadu. The trip aimed to create awareness about Archaeology and Tamil civilization, as well as to help students in understanding the role of libraries in the preparation of Competitive Examinations and Research. The trip provided the students with both educational and experiential learning opportunities for the students.

As per the directions of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the Yuva Tourism Club of Maharaja Agarsain Public School organised activities to commemorate National Sports Day 2025, honouring hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. Students actively participated in races, shot put, shuttle run, and other events, showcasing zeal, discipline, and sportsmanship. Several students secured top positions, and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, will award Certificates and Recognitions to the winners. The celebrations reflected the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect, while also promoting fitness and active lifestyles in line with the Fit India Movement

Trekking to Kurangini and Sambalaru

A group of eleven men teaching staff of Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Uthamapalayam undertook a trekking from Kurangini to Sambalaru located at the foothills of the Western Ghats in Theni district, covering a distance of 5 k.m. During the trek, they visited Samabalaru Falls, Kottakudi River, Kottakudi Dam and several hidden falls. They passed through the lush green wild pastures, shola patches, cascading waterfalls and breathtaking scenic views. A watchtower located along the trekking route provided panoramic views of the famous Kolukkumalai hilltop and nearby peaks. The trek instilled a spirit of adventure among staff members. On their way they got themselves learned the ways to protect the forest instructed by the forest officials who accompany them.

वाराणसी, 2 मई 2025 – पर्यटन मंत्रालय के वाराणसी कार्यालय द्वारा आज(2 मई 2025) सीरिन सोनी पब्लिक स्कूल, वाराणसी में युवा पर्यटन क्लब (वाईटीसी) का गठन किया गया। इस अवसर पर आयोजित उद्घाटन समारोह की शुरुआत दीप प्रज्वलन, विद्यार्थियों द्वारा प्रस्तुत गणेश वंदना तथा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों से हुई। 2. समारोह के अवसर पर नवगठित युवा पर्यटन क्लब (वाईटीसी) की टीम को विभिन्न जिम्मेदारियाँ सौंपी गईं तथा क्लब सदस्यों को विशेष वाईटीसी बैज प्रदान किए गए। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय के शिक्षकगण, छात्र-छात्राएं, पर्यटन मंत्रालय के सहायक निदेशक श्री पावस प्रसून (मुख्य अतिथि) सहित अन्य गणमान्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे। सहायक निदेशक श्री पावस प्रसून भविष्य में पर्यटन से सम्बन्धित और भी कार्यक्रमो में सक्रिय भागीदारी के लिए आह्वान किया। अपने प्रेरणादायक संबोधन में श्री पावस प्रसून, सहायक निदेशक ने नवगठित वाईटीसी टीम के छात्रों को बताया कि क्लब का उद्देश्य भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को बढ़ावा देना और पर्यटन के माध्यम से आर्थिक विकास में योगदान करना है। इसके साथ-साथ पर्यटन, सांस्कृतिक विरासत और भारतीय संस्कृति से जुड़ी जानकारी साझा की। सहायक निदेशक ने युवाओं से आग्रह किया कि वे युवा पर्यटन क्लब से संबंधित गतिविधियों में सक्रिय भागीदारी करें। सहायक निदेशक, पर्यटन मंत्रालय, वाराणसी कार्यालय की ओर से हरसंभव सहयोग का आश्वासन देते हुए छात्रों को यात्रा और पर्यटन के विविध पहलुओं के प्रति जागरूक किया गया ।
