The students of classes XI and XII will be taken to EGS Pillay College, Nagapattinam. EGS Pillay College is conducting Future Expo-24 with the Exhibitors from Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research. This exposure will be very helpful for the children to enhance their scientific knowledge.

As part of the National Tourism Day celebrations on Saturday 25th January 2025, a field visit was organized for our students. A group of 20 students and 2 faculty members from our Research Department Hotel Management and Catering Science visited the Saraswathi Mahal Library, Palace, and Museum in Thanjavur. This visit aimed to enrich students’ understanding of India's cultural heritage, historical architecture, and the role of museums and libraries in preserving the country’s rich past. The visit began at 9:30 a.m., with the group first exploring the Saraswathi Mahal Library, renowned for its vast collection of rare manuscripts, ancient texts, and books. The students were introduced to the library’s preservation techniques and its role in historical research. The film show was also provided by the Officials of Saraswathi Mahal which gave further insight into the rich heritage of Thanjavur, serving as a captivating introduction to the historical significance of the area. After the library, the group toured the nearby Thanjavur Palace and Museum, where students explored the royal architecture and the extensive collection of artefacts, sculptures, and paintings that reflect the grandeur of the Maratha dynasty. The visit ended at 1:00 p.m., leaving the students with a deep appreciation for the cultural and historical significance of the Saraswathi Mahal Library, Thanjavur Palace, and Museum, and an understanding of their role in promoting both academic and tourism interests.

In order to bring the spirit of tradition alive, Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Uthamapalayam, celebrated 'Samathuva Pongal' on 11th January, 2025. The Secretary and Correspondent, Hajee M. Dharvesh Mohideen and President Hajee S. Mohamed Meeran presided over the festival. Managing Committee members, faculties, non-teaching staffs, and students participated.
