Kendriya Vidyalaya SSB Gwaldam (Uttarakhand)

Cycle Rally

Kendriya Vidyalaya Gwaldam organized a cycle rally as part of the G20 Janbhagidari initiative. The students pedaled with great enthusiasm, raising slogans about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development. The rally also served as a platform to promote cycling as a healthy and eco-friendly mode of transportation. The cycle rally was a great success and was well-received by the students, teachers, and the local community. It was a reminder that even small actions can make a big difference.

Shivalik Public School, sector 41 Chandigarh, Yuva Tourism club students celebrated Van Mahotsav week from 1 July to 7 July,2023. The activities which were taken up during the said week were green pledge, poster making, to promote the concept of green environment and also took a pledge. The week was marked with plantation drive, organized in the school campus by the members of YUVA Tourism club.

Interactive session & seminar with the students

Report on Yuva Tourism Club Event at Kendriya vidyalaya no. 1, Srinagar On July 18, 2023, the Ministry of Tourism Government of India (North region) organized a Yuva Tourism Club event at Kendriya vidyalaya no. 1 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by students from grades 7-12. The event began with an introduction to the Yuva Tourism Clubs, its importance and need and about scope, types and possible tourism activities in the state to promote economic development, growth, culture, cuisines & handicrafts of Jammu & Kashmir. The students came up with a number of creative ideas, including: A hiking and camping trip to the Kashmir Valley A food festival showcasing the cuisine of Jammu and Kashmir A handicrafts workshop where students could learn to make traditional Kashmiri handicrafts The students also took the Travel for LIFE pledge, which is a commitment to promoting sustainable tourism. The Travel for LIFE pledge includes promises to: Respect local cultures and traditions Protect the environment Support local businesses Travel responsibly The event concluded with a speech by Mr. Kuldeep Pushpakar, Coordinator & faculty of the School. He spoke about the importance of sustainability for tourism and urged the students to be ambassadors for sustainable tourism. The event was a success and the students were very enthusiastic about the Yuva Tourism Clubs. The event helped to raise awareness of sustainable tourism and the importance of tourism for economic development.

International Day of Yoga 2023

Yoga session was conducted by Yuva Tourism Club members of St. Thomas School, Shimla Himachal Pradesh. St. Thomas school have completed its 100 years (1912-2012). Approximately 70 Yuva Tourism clubs member ans NCC students practiced Yoga and learned importance of the Yoga.

The Yuva Tourism Club members of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nahan, Dist. Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh have presented an informative session on Indian Tribes. The YTC Students learned about indigenous people of India through a power point presentation and engaging videos regarding the same.

International Yoga Day

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhimtal celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2023, with full enthusiasm. The event was organized by the school and was attended by students, teachers, and staff. The yoga session was led by a certified yoga instructor and began with a warm-up. The participants then learned a variety of yoga poses, including sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, and reclining poses. The session ended with a relaxation pose. The participants enjoyed the yoga session and found it to be a great way to relax and de-stress. They also said that they felt more energized and refreshed afterward.
