YTC BGSBU organized lecture on Ecotourism Youva Tourism Club,Centre for Hospitality and Tourism, BGSB University organized an extension lecture on the theme Ecotourism and Sustainable Development. The lecture was organized as a part of lecture series ‘Talk Tourism’ initiative of the Centre for Hospitality and Tourism to disseminate knowledge about latest trends and practices in the field of hospitality and tourism among the students, research scholars and faculty members. The lecture was delivered by Dr.Mamta Bhat , Sr. Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences, CBS, BGSBU. Prof. Akbar Masood , Vice Chancellor of the University congratulated the Centre for organizing the lecture. Prof. Akbar underscored the need of promoting ecotourism and more specifically the promotion of unexplored destinations in the Pir Panjaal region of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Prof. Akbar mentioned the importance of establishing, where necessary, appropriate guidelines and regulations in accordance with national priorities and legislation for promoting and supporting ecotourism. Outlining the global shifts that impact the tourism industry, Dr. Mamta discussed many advantages of ecotourism, its potential to address existing challenges and the opportunities that lay ahead as levers for transformation towards sustainable development. She mentioned that Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. Earlier Dr. Danish Iqbal Raina, Deputy Director, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism highlighted the importance of Ecotourism to promote sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products. Those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Shehnaz Akhter , Assistant Professor, Dr. Rukhsana Majeed , Assistant Professor, Dr. Shahnawaz Chowdhury, Mr. Zakir Hussain. The ministry of Tourism Govt of India, Field office, J&K (North Region) organised an event with Yuva Tourism Club of, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri. The BGSB University organised a food festival & Ramgoli making to promote the local cuisines & art of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Seven different stalls showcasing different foods of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir were presented by the students. Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri inaugurated the food festival and lauded the initiative of the Yuve Tourism Club, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism. Large number of faculty members, staff and students of the University visited the food festival and relished the delicious food prepared by the students. The festival was organised under the supervision of Dr. Danish Iqbal Raina Deputy Director Centre for Hospitality and Tourism and other faculty members of the Centre.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (North), students from the Yuva Tourism Club of Mount Abu Public School, Rohini, organized a heritage walk at Jahaz Mahal and Qutub Minar. The participants, were led by guide who imparted traditional and cultural knowledge about the monuments during the guided tour.

Yuva Tourism Club (YTC) of BSBV Science Education Centre in Ghatampur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, orchestrated a dynamic event featuring a Science Exhibition, Art Exhibition, and a poster-making competition highlighting Monuments. Over 200 students actively participated, showcasing their projects and elucidating their work. A total of 18 students were honored with prizes, fostering motivation among the participants. The award distribution ceremony was conducted by Sh. Sanjay Sachan, TIO from MOT (North), Chief Manager of Grameen Bank Ghatampur, and the school's Principal. Additionally, a workshop focusing on Tourism and Heritage was organized, where Sh. Sanjay Sachan shared valuable insights with YTC students. The program concluded with a Q&A session, enriching the overall experience.

Yuva Tourism Club of NC Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh, celebrated the World Human Rights Day, to create awareness among the students for "Freedom, Equality and Justice for All". Students made colourful Posters, based on Human rights including the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education.

Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Northern Region), conducted a workshop on Tourism and Heritage exclusively for the students of the Yuva Tourism Club (YTC) of GreenFieldsSchool,Safdarjung Enclave. Dr. R K Suman, the Regional Director (North), was the esteemed speaker,who guided the participants about various facets of Tourism Sector . He provided comprehensive insight into job opportunities in the Tourism Industry, delving into specific areas such as Medical Tourism, Adventure Tourism, and Heritage Tourism. Dr. Suman also shared valuable tourist arrival data, fostering a well-rounded understanding of India's tourism landscape among the YTC students. The workshop proved to be an enriching platform for knowledge exchange and exploration of the vast potential within the field of tourism.The Principal of the Green Fields School was extremely interested about this workshop.Approximately 150 YTC students were a part of this event.

Yuva Tourism Club of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Central University of Haryana Chapter organized a “Heritage Walk”. It was a very exciting experience to explore the city through Heritage Walk to experience the rich heritage of Haryana. Under this heritage walk, major attractions of Narnaul city were shown. Students and teachers got information about various historical places of Haryana like Narnaul Jal Mahal, Chhota Bara Talab, Chor Gumbad etc. and shared awareness among the people. The Vice Chancellor expressed the hope of making every possible effort to develop tourism in the area in the future and in the present.

Also had a glimpse of the Chandigarh Carnival which is an annual mega tourism event of Chandigarh Administration.

The Ministry of Tourism, (Northern Region) field office Chandigarh organised a Heritage Walk in Chandigarh Museum Sector, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India, Chandigarh Circle, along with Chandigarh Museum. Around 50 Yuva Tourism club students of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School were taken to all three Museums, The Government Museum and Art Gallery, The Natural History Museum, The Architecture Museum. The students were also engaged in an activity to gain more knowledge about the artifacts in the museum. A brief session was taken by the Deputy Curator Museum Ms.Seema. The students were very enthusiastic to gain more knowledge by visiting one of the museums which has one of the largest collections of Gandharan artifacts in the world. After the session all students took the Travel for LiFE Pledge.
