“Demonstration of Fortified Rice” with reference of Tourism Day Celebration 2023

Demonstration of Fortified Rice” with reference of Tourism Day Celebration 2023 was conducted on 26th September 2023 for Improvement of ICDS & Noon meal workers in Alappuzha in food production Job. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sooraj Shaji, IAS Sub Collector, Alappuzha, along with food safety department officials. The faculty coordinator were HoD Harikrishnan R and Mr. Jophy Jose and Mr. Gopak Umar C G. This Workshop was delivered by Mrs. Hemambika, Nodal Food Safety Officer, Alappuzha. The programme marketed by the Creative Arts club coordinator of HM Department Mr. Manu M U.

Swachh Bharat Activity

Yuva Tourism Club of KV Ooty, has involved the Swachh Bharat activities in the school campus and surrounding areas under Swachh Bharat Activity on 18th October 2023. Around 20 students participated in the Swachh Bharat Campaign.

Yuva Tourism Club of KV No. 1, Narimedu Madurai has cleaned the public park near the school campus as part of Swachh Bharat Activity on 2nd October 2023. Around 26 students participated in the Swachh Bharat Campaign.

A visit to Bapu Museum

Yuva Tourism Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Vijayawada visited Bapu Museum under the guidance of Club coordinator. Club members were educated about the different sculptures of Buddhism, Hinduism, ancient artifacts, coinages, potteries, arms & weapons, etc. which are all found and excavated from the various regions of Andhra Pradesh and installed in the museum.

As a part of Travel for Life campaign Yuva Tourism Club visited Jagannatha Gattu Cave Temple near Kurnool and conducted cleanliness activity. Travel for LiFE pledge was taken by the club members where they committed for responsible and sustainable tourism practices.

Yuva Tourism club visited G Pulla Reddy Engineering College in Kurnool where ISRO Space Week Celebrations was held through exhibits of various space crafts and achievements of ISRO. Club members were educated about the space activities.

Lakshmi Puram Plantation Visit

In order to imbue in learners a fervour for exploring the physical environment, and technological aspects, students from classes IX and X were taken to ITC PSPD Lakshmi Puram Cloning centre, which is the largest plant cloning and research centre in India, students not only acquired knowledge of curricular concepts in basic biology, soil conservation, sustainable development and awareness and concern for environment issues, etc, but also gained insights into current topics of interest in cloning and genetic engineering, as well as related social issues associated with the farmers.

Swachhata Hi Seva

On the occasion of World Tourism Day celebrations, Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was conducted by Yuva Tourism Clubs of State Institute of Hotel Management and SV University at Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park, Tirupati. Club members participated in the rally to create awareness about cleanliness, did a cleanliness activity and took Travel for LiFE pledge at the zoo where participants committed for responsible and sustainable tourism practices.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day celebrations, Swachh Bharat campaign was conducted by Yuva Tourism Club at Port Kalingapatnam Beach along with the staff of Haritha Beach Resorts, APTDC Kalingapatnam and did a cleanliness activity. Travel for LiFE pledge was taken by the participants at this location and were committed for responsible and sustainable tourism practices.
