The Railway Museum at Mysore, India is an outdoor exhibit of vintage locomotives. The Railway Museum was established in 1979 by Indian Railways, the second such museum after the National Railway Museum in Delhi. The museum is opposite the Central Food Technology and Research Institute on Krishnaraja Sagar Road. It has locomotives and a gallery of photographs and paintings depicting the growth of railways in India. Railway signals and lights are also displayed. The museum has a battery-operated mini-train giving a short ride for children on the grounds. Grade 3 students of KNCIGS visited railway museum in Mysuru as a part of academics. They got the knowledge about how the railways are made, trains are constructed, types of trains etc. This made them to feel excite and also they got the chance to play the games.

Srirangapatna is a town and headquarters of one of the seven Taluks of Mandya district, in the Indian State of Karnataka. It gets its name from the Ranganthaswamy temple consecrated around 984 CE. Later, under the British rule, the city was renamed to Seringapatnam. Located near the city of Mandya, it is of religious, cultural and historic importance. The monuments on the island town of Srirangapatna have been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the application is pending on the tentative list of UNESCO. Our Grade 4 students went to visit the histrocial places as a part of excursion. They enjoyed the view as well as they got the knowledge about the ancient places which build our culture.

A food fest was conducted on 2nd December in which students brought foods representing the various states and showcased it for everyone. The students got the opportunity to get to know about the various tastes of India.

The India Tourism Chennai conducted an online Heritage Week Quiz. Every year, the world celebrates World Heritage Week from November 19, 2023, to November 25, 2023. The week aims to promote the conservation of culture and heritage across the globe. Bhadhra Nisha participated for the quiz.

Yuva members were taken to Dhoni Hills in Palakkad district, which is a famous picnic spot noted for its trekking option. The trek from the base area to Malampuzha and Meenavallam and Dhoni waterfalls is very interesting. This three-hour trip to the reserve forest area where the view is extremely beautiful. One can encounter some rare species of flora and fauna on the trek here. The trails are now popular with travellers and trekking enthusiasts. The scenic visuals on display throughout the climb keep the trekkers’ adrenaline rushing and are the perfect reward for the arduous hike. This 4 km-long trekking trail to the Dhoni falls through the lush green environs bestows one with a quiet isolated space to witness nature in its most tranquil form.

The YUVA Club members conducted a Cleaning Drive program as part of Gandhi Jayanti. To make India as clean tourism destination and to spread the message of sustainability , India tourism Kochi requested everyone connected to Tourism to clean their property /conduct one swachaata hi seva program on 1 st October and take travel for life pledge.

A special assembly was conducted as part of World Tourism Day and the pledge was taken by the students. A dance performance was also held in connection with the events which portrayed the various cultures of different states.
