Yuva Tourism Club of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Sivaganga Celebrated National Youth Day on 12.01.2024. A Mini Marathon was organized covering 2 km by the members of Yuva Tourism Club to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary. Around 40 students participated in event.

In a commendable effort to broaden the horizons of young minds, the visionary Director Ms. Anita Mam and dedicated Principal Ms. Charu Jain orchestrated a captivating field trip to ISRO NRSC on January 19, 2024. The initiative aimed to instill a profound understanding of satellite communication and exploration among Grade VIII and IX students of Pallavi Aware International School, Saroornagar, Hyderabad. Eager and well-prepared, the students arrived at ISRO NRSC greeted by a warm welcome that set the tone for an educational adventure. The highlight of the day was a group photograph with the brilliant scientists, providing a unique and joyful experience for the participants. The students were treated to a fascinating presentation by Mr. Shankar Prasad, a distinguished scientist, who delved into the rich history of ISRO. From the early days of Sputnik to the upcoming Chandrayaan-3 mission, he shared insights into a spectrum of satellites. The functions and applications of remote sensing, as well as details about prominent launch vehicles like PSLV and GSLV, were thoroughly explored. A captivating demonstration by ISRO engineers showcased the intricacies of rocket launches, eliciting cheers and enthusiastic responses from the students. This hands-on experience allowed them to comprehend Newton's Third Law in action, bringing theoretical concepts to life. The field trip not only broadened the students' knowledge about space exploration but also ignited a passion for science and technology. As they departed, inspired and enlightened, the students carried with them memories of a day filled with discovery and awe. These experiences undoubtedly contribute in shaping curious young minds for the future.

Yuva club members visited the Advaita Asramam and Asi shankara stoopam located in kalady on 4th December ,2023 Monday.First we visited the Adi shankara Janmabhoomi ,the holy birth place of Jagadguru Adi shankara .Its a beautiful village with real simplicity and serenity.it is situated very close to River periyar.We also visited the famous muthalakadavu which was nearby.Itsbelieved that mother of shankara did not agree for his sanyasa and a crocodile caught his leg at this muthalakadavu and only after she gave permission for his sanyasa crocodile let him free. Our next destination was Adi shankara stoopam ,an eight storeyed memorial ,Kanchi,kamakoti math had built.It depicted the architecture as well as the life story of Adi shankara.This indeed a memorable and joyful journey for all the students as it taught about the life story of the legendary Adi shankara.

World Tourism day was celebrated by Yuva club in the school on September 27th,2023.The Secretary of the club,Ms Meetu gave a speech during the school assembly on tourism day highlighting the The theme for World Tourism Day 2023 which was Tourism and Green Investments". She also briefed the history of tourism day and the instituitions behind the celebration. A video presentation was also shown to the students in the class room in inform about the formation and celebration of tourism day.

A club meeting was held on septemer 20th where elected representatives were selected as follows; Student Head : Johan Tom Jojy Treasurer : Vaishnav Secretary : Meetu Mari Alias Executive Members: Shankari Lakshmi Aleena Abraham Maani Deva Aakarsh P Basil A video presentation was done by a student who visited i Sringeri Shankara Math Sri Adi Shankara Janmabhoomi Kshethram,a tourist spot near by the school and it was presented as a virtual tour video to the club members.And the detailed explanation of the video was made by Johaan Tom.The club also discussed the importance of the tourist spot and fixed the date of tour to the spot.

Yuva club of viswajyothi was inaugurated on August 24th ,2023 by Reshmi Joseph,HOD ,Dept. of French St. Tresa’s college Ernakulam.She is also the coordinator of tourism club in her college.She inaugurated the yuva tourism club officially and officially launched the name of yuva tourism club of our school “ Destination Explorers ‘ and the Tag line of our club ‘let our soul travel’. She focused on the objecties of tourism club in schools and the role played by students in developing tourism industry.she also interacted with students and listed out different activities for tourism club members.she also gave insights into eco tourism and the impact of ecotourism in economy of the country.

The YUVA Tourism Club of Shri B S Mootha girls senior secondary school, orchestrated an educational trip for class IX and XI to the culturally rich state of Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar from November 24th to 27th, 2023. A contingent of 63 students, accompanied by four teachers and tour organizers, immersed themselves in the historical and architectural wonders of the state, visiting iconic sites such as the Konark Sun Temple, Toshali Temple, Raja Rani Temple, and the historic Dhauli Shanti Stupa. Alongside exploring these famous landmarks, the students actively engaged in creative pursuits, participating in activities such as poster making, PowerPoint presentations, album making, essay writing, drawing, painting and logo designing. This immersive blend of cultural exploration and artistic expression undoubtedly enriched the educational experience of all the participants. The YUVA Tourism Club of Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School organized an Educational Expedition for classes VI to VIII to Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve in Maharashtra, from October 29th to November 2nd, 2023. A group of 24 students, accompanied by two teachers and tour organizers delved into the natural wonders and wild life offerings of the renowned tiger reserve. During this enriching trip the students participated in a variety of activities that provided them with a holistic experience. The highlight of the trip was the thrilling two day and night safari in the tiger reserve forest, offering the students an opportunity to witness the majestic tigers in their natural habitat. The itinerary featured a range of activities including Kayaking, Scavenger hunt, Bamboo weaving, Drawing and basket spinning which enhanced the students to immerse themselves in the local culture and tradition of the region. Additionally, the students had the chance to interact with the locals and the guides who shared their knowledge about the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Overall, the trip provided the students a well round educational experience that combined adventure, cultural immersion and wild life conservation.

The YUVA Tourism Club of Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School, organized an enriching trip to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trip aimed to provide an educational and culturally immersive experience for the students of class X and Xll. Accompanied by six teachers and tour organizers, a group of 93 students, eagerly embarked on this journey from 24th July to 28th July 2023. One of the highlights of the trip was the visit to the Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. They had the opportunity to learn about the rich religious and cultural significance of the temple. The students explored iconic landmarks such as the Lotus Mahal, and Chitradurga Fort, immersing themselves in the architectural wonders of the region. To further enhance their learning experience, the students actively participated in various creative activities like poster making, PowerPoint presentations, and painting enhanced their understanding and appreciation of Hampi's heritage. Overall, this trip proved to be a captivating and educational experience for all the students enriching their knowledge and creating lasting memories.
