The Yuva Tourism Club (YTC) of Kendriya Vidyalaya Raiwala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, organized a painting competition as part of World Heritage Week celebrations. The event, held on 22nd Nov 2023, aimed to foster a deeper appreciation among students for India's rich cultural heritage and the importance of its preservation. With open arms and eager minds, YTC members welcomed students from various classes to showcase their artistic talents and express their understanding of India's diverse heritage. Armed with paints, brushes, and an abundance of imagination, participants immersed themselves in the world of colors, transforming blank canvases into masterpieces that captured the essence of India's architectural marvels, natural wonders, and cultural traditions. When the final results were announced, a wave of excitement and pride swept through the room. October 2023: A day-long trip to Dehradun for a visit to the Regional Science Centre and Forest Research Institute was organized, for the students of KV BHEL, Hardwar. A group of 51 students escorted by 4 teachers visited the places of learning the natural phenomena better in the tour. The Yuva Tourism Club aims for the students to have a joyful learning experience and view the places of importance from the point of view of tourism as well. The students having a bent towards science subjects showed keen interest in ‘Star Show’ describing constellations and the concepts of physics. The illusions created by images created by convex and conclave mirrors also caught their interest. At Forest Research Institute, the students felt mesmerized by the beautiful architecture of the building apart from the botanical and zoological details. Ms. Nirmala (PGT Economics), Ms. Nimisha (PGT Chemistry) Mr. Sandeep Gagania (PTE), and Mr. Balbir (WE Teacher) explained with the help of guides provided at FRI and Regionl Science Center aided them to optimally extract the concerned information in an easy way.
