Gujrat view allOn January 25, 2024, The YUVA Tourism Club at the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, enthusiastically marked National Tourism Day with a series of engaging activities. The event saw the active participation of 22 undergraduate students from various academic programs, including those pursuing Travel and Tourism as well as Sustainable Development Goals.A highlight of the celebration was an expert lecture organized for students in the FCRM department . The lecture, focusing on Accessible Tourism, delved into essential aspects such as the meaning, necessity, barriers encountered during travel, components, and the roles played by both the tourism industry and the government in promoting Accessible Tourism. The lecture aimed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of the students regarding Accessible Tourism and its significance in the field of hospitality.

YTC members of SIHM commenced with a Travel for Life Pledge. The Yuva Tourism Club conducted a nukkad performance addressing drug control and raising awareness about its harmful impact on society. The Heritage walk explored Siddhpur's old city, emphasizing the significance of its heritage buildings, culture, and havelis. The tour included visits to the ASI site Rudra Mahal and the ancient Siddheswar Mahadev temple.

We were delighted to witness the diverse cultural exchange facilitated by participants from 56 countries, and the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, the Tourism Minister, Shri Mulu Bhai Bera, and ambassadors from Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sweden, and Ecuador. The event served as a remarkable platform for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat on the global stage
