Plantation Drive

As per the initiative of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. Of India to undertake Plantation drive in 75 Water Bodiesl across India to promote the Jal Shakti Mission a plantation drive was carried out with Yuva Tourism Club Students of Institute of Hotel Management Ahmedabad under the guidance of IndiaTourism Mumbai and IndiaTouris Gandhinagar office. 30 students from Institute of Hotel Management Ahmedabad participated in Plantation Drive and Heritage Walk with a Guided tour of Rani ki Vav, Patan on 31/07/2023. The students also took Travel for life Pledge.

Plantation Drive Near Water Bodies: Luhari Check Dam (31.08.2023)

Recently Ministry of Jal Shakti has declared the 75 Water Heritage Structures across the country. The Ministry of Tourism organised a plantation program at these Water Heritage sites on 31st July 2023 through its branch office. Indiatourism Silvassa, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India hosted plantation program near water body at Luhari in the district of Dadra Nagar Haveli for the Yuva Tourism Clubs of Silvassa and the youths of UT of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu

Adarsh International School, Naya Raipur

Nukkad Natak with message to save environment.

The members of the Yuva Tourism Club from Adarsh International School, Naya Raipur, organized a Nukkad Natak to display their creativity and convey an important social message. Students performed a street play to highlight the importance of plantation and to protect and save the environment. This initiative was taken by the school with the aim to motivate students to become active agents of a sustainable and healthy environment. The students got actively involved in it and showed great enthusiasm and creativity to convey their message to the audience.

Second YTC Junga Shimla Tour .

Second Tour to Junga, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). Date: 20-23 May 2023 Overall Head: Rev. Fr. Savariraj Tour Coordinator: Mr. Deepak Mamgai Tour Incharge: Mr. Deepak Mamgai Participants: Interested Students of Class 9 No. of Teachers: 6 No. of Students: 60 Key Features: - First time students came to know about a place called Junga . - Trekking and visited Junga Fort. Learnt about its History. - Interaction with Villagers while trekking. - Trekking taught them Importance of physical exercise in one’s life. - Saw local fruits, local culture, costumes… - Visit to Kufri Zoo - Visit to China Bungalow in Kufri and its importance. - Experienced scenic beauty of hills. - Night meditation with no lights, in a ground, in the hills. - Visit to Shimla. Learnt history of Shimla - Walk at Shimla Mall Road. Saw buildings. - Visit to different shops. Witnessed the costumes and Culture. - Bought things to boost economy of the state. - Visit to Chandigarh. Learnt about the Capital - Visit to Rock Garden, Chandigarh.. Other important Aspects learnt by student important for their personal growth - Group leaders were able to showcase the leadership quality and work as a team. - Tour helped to Improve Listening skills in all, as instructions were given. - Learnt to respect teachers, guide, hotel staff…. - Many bought things to boost economy of the state. - Learnt about flora and fauna - Learnt discipline as they got up and slept at dedicated time. - They learnt sharing as they shared food, room... - They showcased caring nature as they helped each other when one was injured. - They were told to take care of cleanliness wherever all visited. - Learnt about their companions, their families. Emotional bonding. - Activities/Movement kept them away from mobiles. - Away from junk food as shops were far from Resort.

Some students were away from their parents for the first time. - Trekking and visited Garjiya temple. - Interaction with people while trekking. - Importance of Physical exercise in one’s life as they were involved in few activities too. - Saw local fruits, culture, costumes… - Experienced scenic beauty of hills and river. - Visit and explored Nainital. - Walk at Nainital Mall Road. - Visited Naina Devi Temple and Tibetan Market - Visit to different shops. Saw the local dishes, costumes and Culture. - Early morning safari in Jim Corbett Park Other important Aspects learnt by student important for their personal growth 1. Group leaders were able to showcase the leadership quality and work as a team. 2. Tour helped to improve listening skills in all, as instructions were given. 3. Tree Plantation Program

Yuva Tourism Club members of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Kufri, Shimla organised Tree plantation program near waterbodies of wildlife sanctuary Kufri, Shimla. Total 40 students of Yuva Tourism club, Environment Club and staff members collaborating with the Forest department of Himachal Pradesh successfully planted trees together creating an awareness for preserving the nature and making a positive impact.
