National Handloom Day 2023 Celebrations
On the occasion of National Handlooms Day, Yuva Tourism Club got inaugurated at Maris Stella College followed by this the fashion show for Yuva Tourism Club members and students was organized. Participants walked the ramp by showcasing the attire of various fabrics in and around the state and presented about them. Yuva Tourism Club members and students took a pledge on Travel for LiFE during this event.

Visit to Handloom Village
On the the occasion of National Handlooms Day, Yuva Tourism Club members of Ratnam High School, Nellore visited Paturu village which is abode of Handloom weavers. Paturu silk sarees are woven in this village are very famous in India. Club members learnt about the methods of yarning thread, weaving and coloring.

To enhance the interest and visualization of the tourist places and attractions among Yuva Tourism Club members and students, drawing competition was organized on the theme "A Visit To My Favorite Country" at N.St.Mathew’s Public School, Vijayawada. Students of V and VI actively participated in this competition and showed their favorite tourist attractions through the art.

The drive was organized to create awareness about the importance of trees and to encourage the students to take care of the environment. The plantation drive was a success. The students were enthusiastic about planting trees and they took great care in planting them. The trees will help to improve the environment and will also provide a green and healthy environment for the students.

As per the Ministry of Jal Shakti declaration to conduct Plantation drive at 75 Water Heritage sites nationwide, Yuva Tourism Clubs of KVR Govt. College for Women and Govt. Vocational Junior College organized a plantation programme at the area near K. C. Canal Aqueduct across Handri River at Kurnool.
