Empathy and Understanding Shine on World Mental Health Day celebrated at Kids World School through Nukkad Natak. Class IX Students' Dance-Drama Raises Awareness on Mental Health Date: October 31, 2023 In an inspiring display of empathy and creativity, Kids World School celebrated World Mental Health Day in a profound and impactful way. The event, organized by the students of Class IX, featured a thought-provoking dance-drama (nukkad natak) that highlighted the struggles of individuals suffering from mental health issues and emphasized the importance of providing support and understanding to those in need. World Mental Health Day, observed annually on October 10th, serves as a global platform to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote mental well-being. Kids World School took this opportunity to educate and sensitize students, teachers, and the community about the challenges faced by people dealing with mental health diseases. The performance was a culmination of weeks of hard work and research by the Class IX students. The nukkad natak told a poignant story through a combination of expressive dance, impactful dialogues, and evocative music. It aimed to break the stigma surrounding mental health and showcased the trials and tribulations that individuals with mental health issues often face. The drama, divided into three acts, took the audience on a journey through the lives of different characters, each struggling with various mental health challenges. The actors depicted depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other conditions with remarkable sensitivity and insight. The storyline portrayed how mental health problems can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. The performance not only highlighted the problems but also underscored the importance of community support and understanding. The students stressed that empathy and open dialogue play a crucial role in helping individuals cope with mental health issues. Additionally, the drama encouraged people to reach out to those in need and emphasized that providing a listening ear or a comforting presence can make a significant difference. The students shared valuable insights on mental health, its prevalence, and the various ways in which support can be offered to those affected. In an age where mental health concerns are on the rise, initiatives like the one taken by Kids World School are of paramount importance. By using creative means like dance-drama, they were able to convey a powerful message that has the potential to make a lasting impact in raising awareness and understanding of mental health. World Mental Health Day at Kids World School was not just a one-day event but a significant step towards fostering a culture of compassion, support, and empathy for individuals dealing with mental health issues. It serves as a reminder that it is possible to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and understanding society.

MERI MATI MERA DESH The students of the primary section were encouraged to take the pran pledge by holding the soil in their hand on 14-08-2023. The importance of the same was explained to them. They were made aware about the pledge to -devote our life to the service of our mother land, to remember the sacrifices of our brave hearts and to remove colonialism. The pledge was rendered to them by the school head girl Shagun Shukla of class X. The students also took selfie at the selfie point created for the same. This initiative aims to instill a sense of patriotism and environmental consciousness in our primary students while fostering a deeper connection with our motherland. As part of this event, our young learners had the opportunity to take the "Panch Praan Pledge," a commitment to protect and preserve our five essential elements – Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Space. This pledge not only emphasizes the importance of environmental stewardship but also encourages a strong sense of responsibility towards our nation. They will acknowledge the interconnectedness of all life on Earth and the universe. We believe that these values will not only make our children responsible citizens but also deepen their love and respect for their country. All the teachers of the school dressed in the three colours of our tri colour national flag held a diya in their hand while taking the pran pledge.
