Yuva Tourism Club of GSSS, Kavaratti released the Issue 1 of Weekly Trivia Series to create awareness about tourism and promote responsible tourism practices. The Digital copy of the Weekly Series (Issue 1) is shared with the Yuva Tourism club members through whatsapp and other social media platforms. This initiative will help students stay connected with club activities even during vacations.

On the occasion of National Tourism Day, an essay competition on "Development of Tourism in Lakshadweep" was organized at Government Senior Basic School, Kalpeni Island, Lakshadweep. The Yuva Tourism Club members of Dr KK MK Government Senior Secondary School, Kalpeni showed enthusiastic participation in the activity and penned down their thoughts on the topic.

Yuva Tourism Club of Dr KK MK Government Senior Secondary School, Kalpeni Island, Lakshadweep organized a sensitization session on “Tourism in Lakshadweep”. Tourism officials working in Kalpeni island addressed the students. A discussion on the Cheriyam Beach cleaning activity was also held and feedback was collected from the participants on their experience.

A familiarization trip to the Handicraft Emporium, Kavaratti was organized by the Yuva Tourism Clubs of Government Senior Secondary School, Kavaratti and Kendriya Vidyalaya Kavaratti to create awareness amongst the students about the handicraft products of Lakshadweep. The students interacted with artisans to learn about handicraft creation from coconut based products and participated in a Quiz themed on "Handicraft items of India".

Yuva Tourism Club of Dr KK MK Government Senior Secondary School, Kalpeni Island, Lakshadweep organized a beach cleaning activity at Cheriyam island, an uninhabited island near Kalpeni. 98 members of the Yuva Tourism Club actively participated in the half day programme and collected garbage from the island.

The Yuva Tourism Club of Government Senior Secondary School, Agatti was inaugurated with a Beach Cleaning Activity on 14.1.2023. The introductory session was attended by officials from school and volunteers from various fields associated with development of Lakshadweep Islands. The students conducted a beach cleaning activity at Lagoon Beach, Agatti. After the cleaning activity, there was a discussion on most commonly found waste item and ways to reduce plastic usage. The students opined that plastic bottles and diaper pads were the most commonly found waste items and expressed their resolve that they would reduce plastic usage. The session with an interesting dumbcharades session on "Actions that Matter" and a Sensitization Rally.

Yuva Tourism Club, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kavaratti in association with India Tourism Kochi organized a cycle rally on 09.12.2022 to promote responsible tourism and cycling tourism in Lakshadweep. The rally aimed at creating awareness on benefits of cycling and its role in combating climate change. The rally also aimed to promote eco-tourism as cycling is a popular zero carbon emission sport. The members gave a speech on the benefits of cycling and a Cycling Trail Itinerary Design competition was also held. The students participated with great enthusiasm and curated cycling trails for Kavaratti island.
