They have celebrated the International Year of Millets from 13th to 15th September 2023 by creating an awareness and showcasing the innovations in millet-based cuisines. Also it showcased the talents of Catering Department students and emphasized the importance of sustainable and nutritious food choices in today's world.

Yuva Tourism Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Narimedu, Madurai has visited the Archaeological site Keezhadi on 15.09.23. The students gained knowledge about the excavation site and the evolution of man from stone age period through a video show. Also, they were involved in cleaning activities in and around Keezhadi.

The students had a good experience and knowledge on the culture, food, and architectural aspects of Kochi. A team of 112 students and 3 faculty members participated in the trip.

The students performed inaugural pushpanjali dance and other tradition dances Bathukamma, Bonalu etc . Travel Trade from Telangana across India officials of Tourism & Culture Department saw the cultural performances and appreciated the students.

ITO Bengaluru office in association with KSTDC organized "Chinnara darshana" Bengaluru City tour for the students of Yuva Tourism Club, Kendriya Vidyalaya & MEG Center Bangalore on World Tourism Day and AKAM Tourism Iconic Week 2022. As a part of the tour, YUVA tourism club members visited various iconic monuments & museums of Namma Bengaluru. This event is organized to educate students about the history, culture, infrastructure, and more about the city of Namma Bengaluru. Karnataka Tourism Society supports the event.
