Every year on 18th April is celebrated as an International day for Monuments and Sites “World Heritage Day”. Today Yuva Tourism Club Students and staff members were visited Gingee fort. The official theme for world heritage day 2024 is “Discover and Experience diversity”. The most important aspect of this day is to raise awareness about the importance of these sites and inspire action for their preservation. This visit helped them to understand the importance of monuments and sites, about several benefits of tourism like revenue of economy & Job opportunities. Through this visit students can sense the cultural exchange made by an invasion & expansion over the Fort Architectures as well as on the temples around the fort, quite changes made by foreigners and local bodies.

Indiatourism Hyderabad office organised Hyderabad City Tour on 09 march 2024 for the students and the Faculty coordinators of IHM Chennai, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram and ICI Tirupati who arranged the Cuisine stalls at the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav, 2024. The students visited Golconda fort, Qutb Shahi tombs, Taramati Baradari etc... Students felt a sense of honour and wound at the historical significance of the monuments. the city tour helped the students to understand the heritage of Hyderabad monuments. The intricate architecture and the stories behind construction of monuments left a lasting impression on students.

As a part of 2024 General Elections, Yuva Tourism Club of Sri Sivani College of Engineering at Chilakapalem conducted the Voters Awareness programme in collaboration with NSS. During this awareness programme students were educated about the significance of voting during the elections and were encouraged to participate in the democracy by voting at the time of election.

The students and faculty of Yuva Tourism Club of IHM Shri Shakti participated in sari walkathon organised on 05-03-2024 in neckless road, Hyderabad as part of Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2024. In that vibrant event many saree enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate diversity, unity, and empowerment. Huge number of women’s gathered extraordinarily and shown elegance, diversity, and tradition in walkathon. The response was overwhelming as hundreds of women came all dressed in Saris representing “My sari My pride”.

The Ministry of Culture in association with Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Textiles Government of India organized Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2024 from 02nd -08th March, 2024 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad. YTC Students from South Indian Hotel Management colleges IHM Hyderabad, IHM Chennai, IHM Bangalore, IHM THIRUVANANTHAPURAM and ICI TIRUPATI set up food courts in the event and promoted South Indian Cuisine . Hon’ble Minister of Tourism Shri Kishan Reddy ji attended the valedictory event and visited the food stalls.

The 10th International IIHM Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) was organized by IIHM Hyderabad on January 31, 2024. Ten nations took part in the first round of the YCO Competition, which was held at IIHM Hyderabad College. The competition's objectives were to assess the competitors' culinary prowess, inventiveness, and familiarity with other cuisines, as well as their capacity for high-pressure labor. TheYCO participants exhibit astounding talent and inventiveness. The Indiatourism Hyderabad had participated in the 10th International IIHM Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) and promoted the cuisine of Hyderabad and Travel for Life and Indiatourism. Hyderabad will be arranging Hyderabad City Tour to the Participants of YCO. YTC students of IIHM Hyderabad actively participated in the event.

The delicious dishes were been judged by the different chefs from the various group of hotels.
