Shri Shakthi College of Hotel Management

Kargil Vijay Diwas Event

Yuva Tourism Club of Shri Shakti College of Hotel Management organized a solemn event on Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2023. This is to honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed during the Kargil War. Students and faculty gathered to pay homage to the courageous souls who laid down their lives for the nation. As a tribute to true heroes, rangolis were decorated with colourful patterns, and students also designed posters with a motto of respecting solider's sacrifice and commitment to protecting our motherland. More than 60 students and faculty participated in the event.

International Day of Yoga

On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2023 celebrations ( Ninth Edition ), the Southern Regional Office , Ministry of Tourism organized a Yoga demonstration program jointly with the Vivekananda House at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Chennai on 21st June 2023 . Swamiji. Ragunayakananda, Director, Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Swami Dharmishtananda, Manager, Sri Ramakrishna Math were the Chief Guests for the IDY celebrations. Around 250 Yuva Tourism Club Students from Kendriya Vidayalaya Schools of Anna Nagar, Meenambakkam , DGQA , Ethiraj College and AM Jain College actively participated in the Yoga Demonstration program, organised by the Yoga Trainers from Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Chennai. Yoga Mats, T Shirts, Caps, Souvenirs and Certificates and refreshments were given to the Students.

Chennai Light House Visit

The Southern Regional Office, Ministry of Tourism has arranged a trip for Yuva Tourism Club Members to Light House, Mylapore, Chennai on 21st July 2023 as mentioned by Hon'ble Prime Minister in his 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat- 100 days of Action Plan. Around 100 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools of Anna Nagar, Island Grounds and Ashok Nagar participated in the Light House visit. Students enthusiastically learnt about the significance of light house and its functioning.

Moon Day celebrations

As part of International Moon Day celebrations, the students of Government Senior Secondary School, Kavaratti Island, Lakshadweep participated in a familiarization visit to Kavaratti Science Museum and Planetarium on July 20, 2023. The Yuva Tourism Club members witnessed a 3-D show demonstrating the first human landing on the Moon and highlighting remarkable achievements in space exploration by mankind to etch a lunar legacy. The Department of Science & Technology, UTLA also organized a quiz and special cake cutting ceremony to mark the celebrations. #YuvaTourismClub #YTC #InternationalMoonDay #MoonDay2023 #CelebrateTheMoon #MoonDayEvent

Yuva Tourism Club Schools in Telangana

Kala Sanskritika Vedika

Yuva Tourism Club students of Hyderabad schools actively participated and witnessed the classical and folk dances of Telangana in Dance Festival organised by Kala Sanskritika Vedika in Hyderabad. On 14th July 2023. More than 300 students and artists participated in the event. The dance festival organised as part of Bonalu festival happening in Telangana.
