EK TAREEK EK GHANTA EK SATH- SWACHHTA ABHIYAAN

Date: 1 st October, 2023 Attendee: 11 Beneficiaries: 11 In a concerted effort to preserve our city’s heritage and environment, The Yuva Tourism Club & House of Travellers in collaboration with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), proudly conducted a grand Cleanup Drive at CSMT on 1 st October, 2023 to give tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji on the lines of ”Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” Swachhata Abhiyaan. This community-driven initiative aimed to beautify and maintain the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai, a symbol of our city’s rich history and culture. A special thanks to Faculty Incharge of Yuva Tourism Club Asst. Prof. Faaiz S. Patel & Faculty Incharge of House of Travellers Prof. Anjli Dhanani for supporting and guiding us throughout the event.

Cruise Tourism - “Viking Mars”

Date: 30th April, 2023 Attendee: 2 Beneficiaries: 2 Luxury Cruise Liner ‘Viking Mars’ arrived at Mumbai Port Trust on 2nd May, 2023 with 833 passengers on board. Indiatourism Mumbai organised a traditional welcome of Haldi-Kumkum for all the disembarking passengers. The Yuva Tourism students from H.R. College Ms. Swara Patil & Mr. Bhavesh Dhera welcomed the passengers with haldi kumkum followed by a Lezim dance performance. The members of Yuva Tourism Club got the opportunity to be a part of this Cruise Tourism. They welcomed the group of passengers with a lot of warmth, music & tradition & also interacted with the cruise staff. The students conveyed their sincere gratitude to India Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India, and our club’s In-charge, Prof. Faaiz Patel, for providing and introducing them to this new opportunity.

Cruise Tourism - “Insignia & Amadea”

Date: 30th April, 2023 Attendee: 2 Beneficiaries: 2 India Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Government of India took members of the Yuva Tourism Club to a cruise ship docking spot where they helped greet and welcome tourists as part of their introduction to cruise tourism. On 30th April, 2023, two Luxury Liners Cruise Ship named “Insignia” with 572 passengers and “Amadea” with 863 passengers arrived at Mumbai Port. Indiatourism Mumbai welcomed the tourist in a traditional way by applying Haldi Kumkum and with a beautiful Lezim dance performance. The Yuva Tourism Club Members of H.R. College Ms. Heena, Mr. Keshav, Ms. Zainab & Mr. Suyog participated enthusiastically for welcoming the tourists. The students expressed their deep gratitude to India Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and our club’s in-charge, Prof. Faaiz Patel, for offering and introducing them to this new opportunity.

Cruise Tourism - “Seven Seas Mariner”

Date: 11 th April, 2023 Attendee: 2 Beneficiaries: 2 There are many foreign tourists who board cruise ships in Mumbai, which is the main port of call for cruise travellers in India. Members of the Yuva Tourism Club were given an introduction to cruise tourism by India Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Government of India by taking them to the actual cruise ship docking location where they assisted in greeting and welcoming guests. Once again two members of Yuva Tourism Club Mr. Dweep Sanghvi & Ms. Swara Patil were given a chance to participate in “Cruise Tourism”. On 11 th April, 2023 Luxury Liner “Seven Seas Mariner” arrived at Mumbai PortTrust with 595 passengers on board. Indiatourism and students from YUVA TOURISM CLUB of H.R. College offered a Traditional Welcome of Haldi Kumkum to the group of passengers and interacted with Cruise members. The students expressed their deep gratitude to India Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and our club’s in-charge, Prof. Faaiz Patel, for offering and introducing them to this new opportunity.

Cruise Tourism - "Viking Neptune"

Mumbai is the primary destination for cruise travellers in India, and there are many international tourists who board cruise ships there. The India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, and Government of India exposed members of the Yuva Tourism Club to the real docking point of the cruise ships where they were a part of the greeting & welcoming of the passengers, giving them an introduction to cruise tourism. Once again on 1 st April two members of the Yuva Tourism Club were given the chance to participate in “Cruise Tourism”. Mr. Akshat and Ms. Pakzeen were assigned to the cruise ship named “VIKING NEPTUNE,” where they welcomed a group of passengers using a traditional method by applying Haldi Kumkum and showing a lot of warmth. The students showed sincere gratitude towards our club’s in-charge, Prof. Faaiz Patel, and India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, for providing and introducing to this new opportunity.

Heritage Walk

Indiatourism Delhi organised heritage walk for Yuva tourism club of Hansraj Model School Punjabi Bagh at Safdarjung Tomb. An approved guide who guided children and enlighten about the historical importance of Safdarjung Tomb. It was a captivating experience, providing students with insights into Delhi’s architectural and historical legacy. The majestic Mughal-era tomb, with its intricate design and lush surroundings, served as a rich learning environment. Students explored the monument’s significance, learning about its cultural heritage and the historical context of its construction integrating it with STEM also as per NEP 2020.. The trip facilitated a deeper appreciation for India’s rich history and architectural marvels, leaving a lasting impression on all participants. At the end on the spot painting competition was organized. Award and certificates were distributed to the winners students .

Government Degree College Nandasain Hosts Quiz Competition for Yuva Tourism Club The Government Degree College Nandasain in Chamoli District, Uttarakhand, recently organized a Quiz Competition exclusively for students enrolled in the college's Yuva Tourism Club. This exciting event served a threefold purpose: Testing and Enhancing Knowledge: The quiz challenged students' understanding of core tourism concepts. This included testing their knowledge of popular Indian destinations, cultural heritage sites, responsible tourism practices, and tourism regulations. By answering these questions, students not only displayed their existing knowledge but also gained valuable insights into various aspects of the tourism industry. Sparking Interest in Tourism Careers: The competition aimed to ignite a passion for the tourism industry among the participating students. By showcasing the vast knowledge base required for success in tourism, the quiz might have opened their eyes to the diverse career opportunities this field offers. This exposure could inspire them to consider tourism as a potential path for their future endeavors. Promoting Responsible Tourism: The competition likely incorporated questions focused on sustainable tourism practices. This could have included topics like eco-friendly travel, responsible waste management, and cultural sensitivity. By addressing these themes, the quiz may have encouraged students to become responsible tourists who advocate for the preservation of our natural and cultural heritage. Overall, the Government Degree College Nandasain's Quiz Competition proved to be a valuable learning experience for the Yuva Tourism Club members. It not only tested their knowledge but also sparked their interest in the exciting world of tourism and its potential for a fulfilling career.

Air Force Heritage Museum Visit

Yuva Tourism club students of AKSIPS 41 Smart School, Chandigarh visited the Air Force Heritage Museum, Chandigarh. This educational trip was an incredible opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Indian Air Force. It was truly an enriching experience for the students. They were excited to view the diverse collection of air crafts and weapons. The different artifacts like uniforms, medals of the legendary officers inspired and kindled the patriotic spirits of the students.

Date: 30th March, 2023 Attendee: 2 Beneficiaries: 2 India's cruise tourism is concentrated in Mumbai, where cruise ships are frequently docked with foreign passengers. Members of the Yuva Tourism Club were exposed to the actual docking station of the cruise ships where they were a part of the greeting party of the passengers by India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which gave them an introduction to cruise tourism. On 30th March, 2023 Luxury Liner "Seabourn Encore" arrived Mumbai Port with 800 passengers on board. In Mumbai, Indiatourism and two students of Yuva Tourism Club of H.R College Khushbu & Snehal offered a Traditional Welcome of Haldi Kumkum to the group of passengers and interacted with the cruise staffs. A special thanks to our Club’s In charge Prof. Faaiz Patel and India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India for giving and introducing to this new opportunity to the club members.
