Mumbai Port is a hub for Cruise Tourism. The Indiatourism Mumbai office accorded traditional welcome for all the passengers arriving at Mumbai Port by Luxury liners starting from the Month of November 2022 to May 2023. The Yuva Tourism Club members from HR College and Garware Institute of Career Education and Development joined Indiatourism Mumbai in the welcoming ceremony organized during the sailing season 2022 - 2023. The Yuva Tourism students welcomed 30 Luxury liners with over 30,000 passengers arriving at Mumbai port with warm smiles and Haldi Kumkum. This activity was a great opportunity for the club members to get an exposure about Cruise Tourism.
Maharashtra view allOn the occasion of National Tourism Day 2023. Indiatourism Mumbai hosted Heritage and Photo walk for the students of YUVA Tourism Clubs of IHM & CT and Kendriya Vidhyala Silvassa on 25th January 2023 at the Fort of Moti Daman. The Heritage walk was flagged off by Shri. Arun Gupta (Director, DNH & DD Tourism) along with Shri Shivakant (Conservation Assistant, ASI). Approx 50 students from YUVA Tourism Clubs of IHM & CT and Kendriya Vidhyala Silvassa participated in the Heritage walk. Photowalk was also hosted for local youth photographers to mark the National Tourism Day Celebration, around 20 photography enthusiasts and local social media influencers joined the Photowalk. The walk started from 11am to 2pm covering the Cathedral of Bom Jesus, the Dominican Monastery, the Bocage house, the old lighthouse, and Asia’s oldest Municipality office. With the heritage walk, students learned interesting facts, culture, and heritage of the Daman. The photographers tried their creativity with their photography skills and interacted with local communities to better understand the heritage.
Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu view allOn the occasion of National Tourism Day 2023. Indiatourism Mumbai organized an educational tour to Sirpur, Chhattisgarh for the Yuva Tourism Club members of State Institute of Hotel Management, Raipur and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naya Raipur. The purpose of this educational tour was to experience the unprecedented history of Indian art in Sirpur, the city of temples on the east bank of the Mahanadi River. At the beginning of the educational tour, everyone was told about the importance of cleanliness at tourist places, followed by a street play on cleanliness by the members of Yuva Tourism Club and also by running a cleanliness drive at the place around Ambedkar Chowk, Tibardev Vihar and Laxman Temple, better segregation of waste was told to the general public present there. At the end of the educational trip, everyone was administered the Swachhata Pledge, in which emphasis was laid on being aware of cleanliness and giving time for it.
Chattisgarh view allAn awareness drive in Kendriya Vidyalaya Raiwala by Yuva tourism club students were organized to give ideas about the importance of tourism in India. It also aided in raising awareness and respect for India's diverse cultural and natural heritage.
Uttarakhand view allIndiatourism Goa office organized a Heritage Walk and Cleanliness Drive under Swachh Bharat Mission at iconic Aguada Jail, Goa on 09.03.2023 for the members of Yuva Tourism club. Around 45 Members from CIHM, Porvarim, Goa, Govt. of Goa College of Home Science and Dnyanprassarak Vidyalaya, Mapusa, Goa participated in the event. The students were made aware about the history and importance of Aguada Jail in Goa’s Freedom Struggle during the Heritage Walk. Later, they cleaned the Jail premises and spread the message about keeping tourist places clean.
Goa view allThe Yuva Tourism club members studying Craft course in food production and patisserie of IHM Goa explored Fontainhas ,Panaji on 20th Feb 2023 to experience the rich colonial architecture of Goa. Fontainhas, the capital of Panjim’s Latin quarter, is known for narrow lanes full of colorful Portuguese villas with balconies and red-tiled roofs. The students relished local dishes served in traditional Goan eateries and quaint bakeries. With this visit, students got insights into the rich culinary culture of Goa and experienced the rich colonial architecture of Goa.
Goa view allThe Yuva Tourism Club of IHM Goa organised a field trip to Kumbhar Pottery in Bicholim, Goa on 14th February, 2023. Kumbhar pottery is an age-old art form that thrives in the state of Goa, the local artisans here produce both decorative and utilitarian pottery in distinctive red clay. The students were amazed to see the beautiful pottery made without using any machinery, this visit made the students aware of the amazing craftmanship and hardwork done by the local artisans.
Goa view allThe year 2023 is announced as ‘International year of millets by united nation’, keeping the same in view, presentation on Recipes & health benefits of millets, through the demonstration of cooking & baking was carried out at IHM Ahmedabad. Taking this forward at IHM Gandhinagar, The Yuva Club organized a live demonstration of “Ragi Biscuits”. The session lasted for 40 minutes with a brief discussion on health benefits of millets & its uses in every day routine.
Gujrat view allMinistry of Tourism Govt of India (North) organised education tour to Lucknow for members of Yuva Tourism Club of school B. S. B. V Science education Centre, Ghatmpur, Kanpur on 12.02.2023. Approx 40 Students of YTC first visited The Lucknow Residency. It served as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of the Nawab. Later students visited regional science city - Interactive science & technology museum with a 3D movie, park & aquarium exhibits

Uttar Pradesh view allAn initiative was taken by the India Tourism North for giving an Induction session to all the Yuva Tourism Club Teacher In-charge of schools in Chandigarh through hybrid mode. It was communicated how the Hon’ble Prime Minister has highlighted Tourism as a medium that fosters national integration and unity amongst people from different parts of the country. Also the vision of Yuva Tourism Club which is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. Participation in Tourism Clubs is also expected to facilitate development of soft skills like teamwork, management, leadership besides encouraging adoption of responsible tourism practices and concern for sustainable tourism. Through tourism clubs activities, students would gain exposure to the rich diversity of India and value its rich civilization. Tourism would enhance their sense of belongingness towards the nation was communicated through this session.
