Kerala view allThe YTC students were taken for a to Sangamayya Konda by the teachers to sensitize about the rich heritage of Andhra Pradesh .The students too pledge to conserve & promote tourism of the state .They visited the historic place Sangamayya konda near Amudalavalasa, Srikakulam .Sangamayya Konda and Dannanapeta in Amudalavalasa mandal of Srikakulam district is very very Important places one should visit to witness early historic man and his activities during Stone Age and Iron Age periods.In Dannanapeta you can witness unique and huge megalithic complex which includes a large dolmen, many small cists and innumerable post holes and menhirs. The dolmen is 36 ft in length and 14 ft in width and 2 ft thickness. one of the biggest in dimensions, the capstone on the dolmen itself weighs up to 50 tonnes. In Sangamayya Konda you will witness Jain vestiges and Buddhist monasteries and pre-historic Caves, Caverns and Cisterns etc.
