The event was organized by the school and was attended by students, teachers, and staff. The yoga session was led by a certified yoga instructor and began with a warm-up. The participants then learned a variety of yoga poses, including sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, and reclining poses. The session ended with a relaxation pose. The participants enjoyed the yoga session and found it to be a great way to relax and de-stress. They also said that they felt more energized and refreshed afterward.

The day began with a flag-hoisting ceremony followed by a yoga session led by a yoga instructor. The students and teachers of the school participated in the session with great zeal and enthusiasm. The yoga session included a variety of asanas, pranayamas, and meditation. The students were taught the benefits of yoga and how it can help to improve their physical and mental health. They were also taught the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. The Principal of the school, Mr. Suresh Kumar, in his address to the students emphasized the importance of yoga in our daily lives. He said that yoga is a great way to keep fit and healthy, and it can also help to reduce stress and anxiety. He urged the students to practice yoga regularly and make it a part of their daily routine.

The team of KV IMA staff and students being led by Principal Sh. Mam Chand was overjoyed and jubilant about the ensuing event. Yoga expert Mrs. Swati Verma highlighted the importance of life; its health benefits and the historical beginning of the International Day of Yoga w e.f. 2015 after the unanimous decision of Celebrating Yoga Day by 193 member countries of the United Nations General Assembly ( UNGA) on 11th December 2014. A record 171 countries unanimously decided to celebrate Yoga Day is on 21 June every year. She also Awakened the students and all the staff members about the harmony that the International Day of Yoga brings to the world. The celebration of the day began with the shloka from Rigveda; संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं सं वो मनांसस जानताम ्। देवा भागं यथा प ू वेसञ्जानाना उपासते।। Which literally means “May you move in harmony, speak in one voice; let your minds be in agreement...”. The initial micro yogic activities intended for warm-up of the body of all in-house members led to specific yogic exercises which included Padmasana, Vajrasana, Ushtrasna, Ardh-chandrasana, Vrikshasan, Tadasan, Baddha-konasa, Vakrasana, Halasana, Dandasana, Bhujangasana, Setu Bandh Asana, Uttangpadasa, Swasana, Pranayam, Bhramari, Naadishodhan etcetera with soothing music in the background leading to a chaste environment in the vidyalaya premises. The celebrations of the IDY-2023 continued for more than an hour. The most loved Asana was Hasyasana wherein the students burst out laughing for three spells of more than a minute each. In his address, the venue Principal Sh. Mam Chand Ji told the audience that IDY has had a theme every year since its inception in the year 2015. Yoga for Harmony and Peace ( in 2015), Connect the Youth ( in 2016), Yoga for Health ( in 2017), Yoga for Peace ( in 2018), Yoga for Climate Action ( in 2019), Yoga at Home ( in 2020), Yoga for Wellness ( in 2021), Yoga for Humanity ( in 2022) and this year it is Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam. Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam which literally means that the ‘Entire Globe is One Family' is well expounded by the Principal. “हर आंगन योग” is for those who are unable to attend the mass celebration of the IYD-2023. It emphasizes that they can perform Yoga regularly at their own homes in the company of their loved ones. The principal expressed his heartfelt joy in the way the display of the yogic skills is performed in unison. He emphasized the need of Yoga for everyone, especially in the lives of the students. Yoga teaches discipline and patience which is the basis for a thoughtful adolescent. He further motivated the students and the whole staff with his motivational encouragement. The program concluded with best wishes for the International Day of Yoga -2023 (IDY-2023) and congratulated the students and staff for organizing such a successful event.

The event was attended by about 1478 students from classes 1 to 12 and 60 employees. The event was organized under the direction of primary teacher Ms. Ruchi Dhingra. Various asanas and pranayama were performed by the participants. The Principal of the school, Mr. Awadhesh Dubey, congratulated everyone on Yoga Day and spoke about the importance of yoga. He said that yoga is a holistic practice that can help to improve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He encouraged the students and employees to practice yoga regularly to stay healthy and fit. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Dhingra. She thanked the Principal, teachers, and students for their participation and support. She also expressed her gratitude to the parents for sending their children to the event. The event was a great success and it helped to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga. The participants enjoyed the event and they vowed to continue practicing yoga regularly.

Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, this year's International Day of Yoga 2023 theme, symbolises our united ambition for "One Earth, One Family, One Future." The Honourable Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose, was present, which significantly raised the event's stature. Mentor Yogacharya Mary Cecil led the yoga session where more than 1000 Yuva Tourism Club Members, students and teachers from 250 schools and institutions from all around West Bengal gathered.
