Objective: • To create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, • To highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development and • To build alliances that will bring positive change to mountain peoples and environments . The characteristics of mountain climate and ecosystems vary depending on specific altitude, the landforms, biomes, bodies of water surrounding the mountain, and proximity to the equator. These properties include rapid variation in weather and organisms, biodiversity, and the property of being fragile. All mountain ecosystems share the property of high altitude, rising rapidly from the surrounding terrain. Generally, mountainous regions are defined as any rugged gradient rising above 5,000 feet. Mountains are distinguished from plateaus by their grade. While plateaus are also found at 5,000 feet or more above sea level, they do not share the steep incline of a mountainous landform.

Energy Conservation Day Objective of the event: Energy Conservation Day aims to promote awareness regarding the value of energy conservation for current and future generations. The ultimate goal of energy conservation is sustainable energy usage, which guarantees that present demands are satisfied without compromising the capacity of future generations to satisfy their own. Aim: One of the primary aims of the day is to create awareness about the importance of energy conservation among the general public, industries and various sectors of society and also to inspire behavioral change by encouraging individuals and organizations to adopt energy-efficient practices in their daily lives and operations. Objective: 1. Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year with a special theme to make some goals and objectives more influential among the people. 2. It is celebrated among people to send messages of the importance of energy conservation in every area of life. 3. To promote the process of energy conservation, organizing many programs like discussions, conferences, debates, workshops, and competitions in the whole country. 4. Encourage people to use less energy rather than excessive and extravagant energy. The Samarth group of Institutions College of Engineering, Belhe celebrated Energy Conservation Day on 14th December 2023 on Thursday by presentation competition that aimed to foster awareness, innovation, and a commitment to sustainable energy practices among our students. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from various departments within the college.
