On 30th July 2024, the India Tourism Field Office Himachal Pradesh, Ministry of Tourism collaborated with the Yuva Tourism Club of IHM Shimla to organize an essay writing and poster-making event in celebrating Heritage Month. The theme of the event was "Conserving Heritage Monuments," aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of preserving our cultural heritage. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the 2nd and 3rd year degree students. Their engagement and creativity in addressing the theme demonstrated a profound understanding of heritage conservation and a deep appreciation for Indian culture.

Delhi view allVanmahotsav, the tree planting festival in India, was enthusiastically celebrated at Hansraj Model School, Punjabi Bagh. Students participated in this festival by bringing their own plants and enjoyed planting 20 saplings of Amla, Neem etc that was provided by the Ministry of Tourism. This activity aimed to foster environmental awareness and promote understanding of traditional medicinal practices, highlighting the importance of nature and its resources in everyday health and well-being
Delhi view allStudents of Yuva Tourism Club celebrated World population day, on 11th July to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of N.C Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi to mark the importance of the World Population Day. Poster Making and Slogan writing competition were organised on the theme- investing in data collection is important to understanding problems, tailoring solutions, and driving progress. So is finance. Three students bagged prizes for poster making competition on world Population day 1 first prize -Vaibhavi (12C) 2 Second prize -Yash Bhardwaj (12D) 3 Third prize-Mehak (8B)

Against the backdrop of this important global session happening in Delhi, we SEA college of Science, Commerce and Arts (Department of Hotel management) in association with Yuva Tourism Club, Karnataka chapter Organized One day trip to UNESCO World Heritage Site, named, “Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas turn the searchlight towards the heritage sites of Karnataka. The Chennakeshava Temple of Belur is a glittering gem of Karnataka’s heritage. One of the monuments under the UNESCO World Heritage Site, named, “Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas,” the temple is a visual feast of exquisite carvings and sculptures. The temple in which the deity Chennakehsava is worshipped was commissioned by the Hoysala King Vishnuvardhna in the 12th century. The temple took 103 years to be completed and spanned three generations of the Hoysala Kings. Belur which was the first capital of the Hoysalas stands as a lofty tribute to the temple architecture of the Hoysalas. World heritage Week Tourism Day is celebrated across the country on January 25 every year to appreciate India's beauty and spread awareness about the importance of tourism and its impact on the economy. This day is observed to create awareness on the importance of tourism in India and showcase different traditions and culture that India has to offer tourists. The students of Hotel Management, Faculty Members and a representative from tourism Office, Karnataka visited the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas on 26/07/2024. The visit aimed to provide students and the faculty members with a profound opportunity to explore and appreciate the historical and cultural significance of this architectural marvel. The primary objective was to enhance their knowledge and understanding of India’s rich heritage while fostering a sense of pride in our cultural legacy. The visit commenced at 6:30 AM, and the group reached Belur at approximately 10:40 AM. Our Guide Mr.Mahesh Rathode gave a Brief Explanation about the Temple. During the visit, students had the chance to explore the Hoysala’s breath-taking architecture, intricate carvings, and understand the symbolism behind them. Interaction with the guide enriched their experience as they delved into the cultural and historical significance of the site. Engaging in discussions and asking questions deepened their understanding, and the visit also provided ample photography opportunities for documentation and sharing experiences. The benefits of attending the visit were numerous, including enhanced knowledge and understanding of historical and cultural significance, appreciation for architectural brilliance and artistry, cultural awareness, and a sense of pride in one’s heritage. The visit promoted collaborative learning through interactions with peers, faculty, and experts, fostering the exchange of ideas. Additionally, it encouraged personal growth by challenging students to step out of their comfort zones, enhance observation skills, and cultivate curiosity about history and culture.

Around 80 students in two batches were introduced to the subject "How to visit Museum" and taken around the Bronze & Stone Galleries. The visit was curated by experts from Tamil Heritage Trust.
