Assam Rifles Middle School

International Day of Yoga

For 9th IDY 2023, Assam Rifles Middle School, Aizawl in association with ITO Aizawl, under NER Office Guwahati organised a Mass Yoga Event at Assam Rifles ground, Aizawl where 106 students of YTC, teachers with the presence of principal Shri Mp godyal performed various yoga asanas. Shri Mp godyal appreciated the students by giving participation certificates of Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India by ending the event.

International Day of Yoga

ITO Aizawl under NER Office Guwahati organised a Mass Yoga Event in association with Aizawl Battalion 2 Assam Rifles at AR Ground. Event began with a traditional band performance by Pipe Band 2AR followed by a speech by Lt Col Nikhil Prakash where he told on the benefits of Yoga. Approx 200 participants including Jawans of 2 Assam Rifles, YTC, Teachers, Stakeholders participated. ITO urged everyone for sustainability like zero waste, no plastic use.

International Day of Yoga

ITO in Aizawl under NER Office Guwahati celebrated IDY on 21Jun at Thenzawl Golf Course Resort with YTC. Almost 70 participants including Students, Professor & Dean of the college, Dr. Shri Dhar took part. The theme of the event was highlighted along with the benefits of yoga. The students performed different asanas, led by the instructors after which they took a pledge to "travel for life." The students participated in Quiz competition and winners were awarded with certificates & mementos

Field Office Nagaland observed IDY in collaboration with State Dept of Tourism at Kisama Heritage Village. The event was graced by Hon'ble Tourism Minister Shri Temjen Imna Along, Directorate staff and members of Nagaland Tourist Association. Yoga asanas were demonstrated by experts from AYUSH dept.

The YTC of Dimapur Govt College commemorated the 9th IDY under the theme "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’’ on 21 Jun23 at the College Auditorium. Dr. Hare Krishna Parhi, Asst Prof, Dept of Education gave a short speech on the importance of Yoga. Mr Biswajit Sarkar, Associate Prof & HOD, Dept of Comm demonstrated some Yoga exercises.

The students of YTC DPS Dimapur celebrated IDY on Jun21 highlighting this year’s theme, “YOGA FOR VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM”, organized by NCC, GP HQ KOHIMA. The leader demonstrated some asanas. The YTC of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Doyang celebrated IDY by conducting yoga sessions for sisters from 8/6/2023 to 21/6/2023 daily 5pm to 630pm. Yoga for all was conducted on 21Jun in which students, parents, teachers, NEEPCO employees were present.

LIVINGSTONE FOUNDATION INTL (LFI) DIMAPUR

International Day of Yoga

The NCC & YTC of LFI observed the IDY in association with Livingstone Foundation Society & Breeze Women Welfare Association on 21 Jun23. A mass Yoga session by the students & mentors led by a group of LFI students was conducted. Before the session, the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema spoke on the health benefits of yoga. On 20 Jun, a Quiz & Essay Competition was held at the Auditorium on this year’s theme. The winners & the 5 students who led the yoga session were awarded with certificates during the session by the Dir LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.

Celebration of International Yoga Day

Kendriya Vidyalaya Organizes Yoga Session on International Yoga Day On June 21, 2023, Kendriya Vidyalaya organized a yoga session to mark International Yoga Day. The session was held in the school's auditorium and was attended by students, teachers, and staff. The session was led by a yoga instructor and began by leading the participants in a series of warm-up exercises, then demonstrated a variety of yoga poses, including sun salutations, standing poses, and seated poses. The participants were encouraged to follow along with the instructor's instructions. The session lasted for about an hour. At the end of the session, the instructor answered questions from the participants. He also gave some tips on how to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. The participants enjoyed the yoga session and found it to be a relaxing and beneficial experience. They said that they would like to participate in more yoga sessions in the future.

Poster-making Competition on World Environment Day

On the occasion of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 𝐘𝐔𝐕𝐀 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛 students of 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐒𝐢𝐤𝐤𝐢𝐦 organized the 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭. The event witnessed active participation from around 50 YTC students. The event served as a platform for them to express their creativity while raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.
