The students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the asanas, and they were also given a brief explanation of the benefits of each pose. The event concluded with a session of Pranayama, or breath control exercises. The International Yoga Day event at Kendriya Vidyalaya SSB Gwaldam was a great success. Chandigarh view allReport on Yuva Tourism Club Event at Kendriya vidyalaya no. 1, Srinagar On July 18, 2023, the Ministry of Tourism Government of India (North region) organized a Yuva Tourism Club event at Kendriya vidyalaya no. 1 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by students from grades 7-12. The event began with an introduction to the Yuva Tourism Clubs, its importance and need and about scope, types and possible tourism activities in the state to promote economic development, growth, culture, cuisines & handicrafts of Jammu & Kashmir. The students came up with a number of creative ideas, including: A hiking and camping trip to the Kashmir Valley A food festival showcasing the cuisine of Jammu and Kashmir A handicrafts workshop where students could learn to make traditional Kashmiri handicrafts The students also took the Travel for LIFE pledge, which is a commitment to promoting sustainable tourism. The Travel for LIFE pledge includes promises to: Respect local cultures and traditions Protect the environment Support local businesses Travel responsibly The event concluded with a speech by Mr. Kuldeep Pushpakar, Coordinator & faculty of the School. He spoke about the importance of sustainability for tourism and urged the students to be ambassadors for sustainable tourism. The event was a success and the students were very enthusiastic about the Yuva Tourism Clubs. The event helped to raise awareness of sustainable tourism and the importance of tourism for economic development.
