On September 27, 2024, Government Degree College (GDC) Paderu celebrated World Tourism Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event aimed to highlight the importance of tourism and its impact on the cultural and economic development of the region. The theme for this year was "Tourism and Green Investment," emphasizing sustainable tourism practices. The celebration kicked off with an inaugural speech by the Principal, who spoke about the significance of tourism in promoting local culture and fostering global connections. This was followed by a series of presentations and exhibitions showcasing the rich heritage, flora, and fauna of Paderu and its surroundings. Students actively participated in various cultural programs, including traditional dance performances and folk songs, which added a festive touch to the event. Workshops and seminars were conducted on eco-friendly tourism practices, attracting the attention of both students and local residents. Experts from the tourism industry shared insights on sustainable travel and the importance of preserving natural resources.
