Celebrating Seva Parv with Heritage & History! As part of the Seva Parv Celebrations, India Tourism Chennai organized a vibrant Heritage Walk on 24th September 2025 through the historic lanes of Old Madras, highlighting the city’s rich cultural and architectural legacy. The walk began at the General Post Office and covered key landmarks including Parry’s Corner, The Bombardment of Madras site, Madras High Court, The Armenian Church, Mint Street, Old Madras Market, and King George V Statue. 20 students from the Department of Architecture & Design and Visual Communication at Saveetha College of Architecture & Design, Chennai participated in the walk. A storytelling session during the walk brought alive the history, architecture, and cultural significance of Old Madras, inspiring students to appreciate and preserve India’s heritage. This initiative directly supports the Seva Parv objective to strengthen awareness and pride in India’s heritage, traditions, and contemporary achievements, by engaging youth in meaningful cultural experiences
