On the occasion of World Heritage Day-2023, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Bhubaneswar Office organized a Heritage walk on 18.04.2023 at the heritage crafts village of Raghurajpur which is known for its Pattachitra art. This art form is used to decorate none other the Lord of the Universe- Lord Jagannath and his siblings. Around 100 students from Yuva Tourism Club and Tourism Stakeholders participated in this heritage walk to create a rooted connection between history, culture, tradition, folklore along with art and craft of Odisha. This heritage walk was the efforts of Indiatourism Bhubaneswar to initiate community participation for conservation and preservation of heritage, art and crafts. The Yuva Tourism Club students and Stakeholders of Tourism gained first hand knowledge from the artists and experienced the heritage craft village of odisha where every doors and windows speaks the art and craft of odisha.

Dalai Lama said, "Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.” Yuva Tourism Club of Chiranjeevee Concept School, Ranchi today celebrated the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha on 05.05.2023, under the direction of the Ministry of Tourism, Eastern Regional Kolkata Office. A Special assembly was held based on Gautam Buddha. Students enlightened the morning assembly with inspirational thoughts of Gautam Buddha, his message about peace and equality & the importance of travel. On the Occasion of Buddha Purnima on 05.05.2023, Friday, the enthusiastic students of Yuva Tourism Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya,Namkum Ranchi organised several activities highlighting the Life of Buddha and the importance of Buddhism in the field of Tourism. Students actively participated in poster making, in a quiz competition which threw light on the important destination related to Gautam Buddha. The YTC co-ordinator Dr. Niraj Kumar, recently participated in the journey of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train launched by the Ministry of Railways and supported by the Ministry of Tourism. He shared his experience in visiting Sarnath and Sanchi which are the most important Buddhist heritages of India.

Celebration of Tagore's Jayanti under the initiation Ministry of Tourism, Eastern Regional office, Kolkata. The Yuva Tourism Club of Chiranjeevee Concept School, Ranchi, celebrated the 162 Birth Anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore in the school premises . Born on May 7, 1861, Tagore was a great writer, poet, painter and a dramatist. He is well known as Nobel Laureate. The programme included speech, poems, quizzes and songs of Rabindranath Tagore. Through speech students enlightened our morning with the great achievements of Tagore which inspired each and everyone present in the premises. Instrumental tribute on flute was given to Rabindranath Tagore on his famous song "Ekla chalo re". With the joint efforts of the students and the teachers the programme turned out to be a grand celebration.

The Ministry of Tourism's great initiative of forming Yuva Tourism Clubs in the Schools are excelling with great enthusiasm. Every member of the club is actively participating, responsibly celebrating every important day of the nation and wide spreading their knowledge. On the two most important occasions i.e Buddha Purnima & Ravindra Nath Tagore Jayanti, the Yuva Tourism Club of Mar Gregorios Memorial Hr. Secondary School, Bokaro, under the direction of Eastern Regional Office, Kolkata, organised events & activities to give tribute to the life and contribution of Lord Buddha and Nobel Laureate KaviGuru Rabindra Nath Tagore. The Students were taken to the Bodh Temple to experience the beauty of the temple and to interact with the monks to gain knowledge about the specialty of the day. The monks led the students in some meditation at the temple to start the day. On the day of Rabindra Jayanti the students took part with tremendous enthusiasm and recited poetry by Rabindra Nath Tagore.

On the Occasion of International Museum Day, under the guidance of the Honorable Minister of Tourism, the eastern regional office, Kolkata organised a guided Museum Walk in the State Museum Jharkhand, Ranchi for the Yuva Tourism Clubs of the State to showcase the power of Museums and importance of Museums in once knowledge directory. This year the theme for the day is “Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing”. Yuva Tourism Clubs of different prestigious institutes have participated like IHM Ranchi & RKDF University, Ranchi University etc. The Guided Museum Walk was curated by Former Assistant Director Culture Dr. Harendra Prasad Sinha and Ms. Nirmala Tirkey. After the guided walk a rapid quiz session was held in which the theme was "Museums of India". Students have participated in it and a message was conveyed regarding the importance of museums in the Tourism & hospitality Sector.

Ministry of Tourism, Bhubaneswar Office organized "Travel for LiFE" Pledge taking activity on 30.05.2023 at IHM Bhubaneswar. Participants were sensitized and encouraged for travelling and Ban single use plastic fir promotion of tourism destinations. 20 Yuva Tourism Club students and 80 women participants from Mission Shakti who manage food outlets and community centree in various tourism destinations took the pledge.

Few Glimpses are as follows: Awareness into Action An upcycled Flower vase was made by a sustainable citizen of the state of Jharkhand from the use and throw plastic paper bowl and also pledged to self practice and promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices around on this World Environment Day.

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2023, Ministry of Tourism, Bhubaneswar Office organized a day long event on 05.06.2023 at Konark. In the 1st session, Yuva Tourism Club students undertook the "Travel for Life" Pledge and Yoga session was organized at Nature Camp, Konark. In the 2nd Session, Kayaking activity was organized for tourism stakeholders at Kushabhadra river, Konark and "Nature Walk" at Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary Konark was organized to promote "Fit Traveller Campaign". In the 3rd session, " Clean Destination Drive" was organized at Blue Flag Beach, Chandrabhaga. YTC students sensitized the tourists and local vendors to keep environment clean at tourist destinations and eco friendly dustbin bags were distributed.
