Assam Rifles High School
Tree Plantation Drive on World Environment Day
The YTC of Assam Rifles High School in Tuensang Nagaland, organized a mass tree plantation drive.The purpose of this drive was to make people aware about the importance of trees in our life and to save the environment. A pledge was also taken by all the students. A demonstration on how to recycle the kitchen wastes such as vegetables and fruit peelings and eggshells to make manure was also conducted.

World Environment Day
Michael Madhusudan Dutta College, Sabroom, South Tripura in collaboration with the Yuva Tourism Club (YTC), MMD College, Sabroom organised ‘World Environment Day’ on 5 th June, 2023 in MMD College Conference Hall. The programme started at 12noon by watering the plant by the dignitaries on the Dias. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jayanti Bhattacharjee, Associate Professor in Economics & Convener, Yuva Tourism Club, MMD College. An insightful lecture was delivered by Dr. Arup Patari, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Physics, MMD College. Guest of the programme ,Sri. Atanu Chakraborty, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, Sabroom shared his valuable thoughts with emphasis on significance of World Environment Day. A quiz competition for the students was conducted by Dr. Arup Patari, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Physics, MMD College. A poster competition on the theme of World Environment Day 2023 was arranged for the students by the Yuva Tourism Club. Tree plantation drive was also one of the events of the day. A good number of YTC members, teachers, non-teaching staff planted saplings in the lush green campus of the college. Dr. Anupan Guha, President of the programme & Principal, MMD College delivered the presidential address. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks extended by Dr. Sudip Goswami, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, MMD College. The programme was attended by a good number of students, faculty members, and office staff of the college. The entire programme was conducted by Sri Arun Paul, PGT, Department of Political Science.

Bicycle Awareness Rally
For World Bicycle Day, a Bicycle Awareness Rally was organized by the YTC of the Livingstone Foundation International. The Rally was flagged off by the Director LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi after a brief programme which was held during the School Morning Assembly. During the programme, a special prayer was pronounced by the School Chaplain, Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimo while the significance of the day was highlighted by Ms. Anna Zhimomi of Grade-XII. Students from Grades-VI to XII took part in the rally which started from the School Campus & culminated at the Nagaland Zoological Park
