ALOK PUBLIC SCHOOL Yuva Tourism Club Inauguration and World Environment Day
Alok Public School, Silvassa celebrated World Environment Day with a plantation drive. School inaugurated the Yuva Tourism Club, an initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, on 5th June on the occasion of World Environment Day and the first day of school reopening. Students planted and adopted the plants and pledged to take care of them. Mrs. Smriti Singh (Principal) encouraged the students to create a mini forest inside the campus with different varieties of plants. Students are very excited to join the club and participate in various initiatives of the Ministry of Tourism.

Cleanliness Drive
Yuva tourism club of IHM Bhopal organised the cleanliness drive and swacchata walk at Shahpura Lake on 17.05.23. The students cleaned the area and distributed trash bags to the park visitors and the locals coming for street food around the lake, thus motivating the stake holders to maintain the cleanliness.

IHM Silvassa
Awareness Program (Say No to Single Use Plastic)
26th May, 2023. One of the biggest threats to Tourism is plastic waste. As a part of the Mission LiFE program, students of Yuva Tourism Club IHM Silvassa made paper bags using old newspapers and distributed them at the local market and educated people and shopkeepers to avoid single-use plastic and instead use cloth bags and other alternatives to plastic. They also asked the people to first reduce, reuse, and lastly recycling of plastic.

Plantation Program (Mission LiFE)
The Yuva Tourism Club members of IHM Silvassa hosted a plantation program as a part of the Meri LiFE program. The YTC Members joined by the Principal, HOD, and all the staff of the IHM Silvassa and planted 10 saplings on the campus and also took the pledge to take care of them. With the plantation program on a regular basis, the students want to increase the green cover of the campus making it one of the most beautiful IHM campuses in India.
