Sustainable tourism session & Travel for LIFE pledge
Report on Yuva Tourism Club Event at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jyotipuram, Reasi J&K. On September 13 2023, the Ministry of Tourism Government of India (North region) organized a Yuva Tourism Club event at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jyotipuram, Reasi Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by students of grade 11. The event began with an introduction to the Yuva Tourism Clubs, its importance and need and about scope, types and possible tourism activities in the state to promote economic development, growth, culture, cuisines & handicrafts of Jammu & Kashmir. Various global opportunities and emerging trends in the field of tourism and hospitality were discussed. The students also took the Travel for LIFE pledge, which is a commitment to promoting sustainable tourism. The Travel for LIFE pledge includes promises to: Respect local cultures and traditions Protect the environment Support local businesses & Travel responsibly. The event concluded with a speech by Mr. Dev Raj, Co-ordinator of YTC. He spoke about the importance of sustainability for tourism and urged the students to be ambassadors for sustainable tourism. The event helped to raise awareness of sustainable tourism and the importance of tourism for economic development.

Pledge
On 8 September, the Himalaya Pledge was taken under the Save Himalaya Campaign under the aegis of The Yuva Tourism Club in the college. While administering the 'Himalaya Pledge', Principal Prof. KL Talwad said, "The Himalayas are the head of our country. The Great Mountain is the basis of climate, life, and environment for a large part of the world. Its peaks inspire us to reach new heights. "I promise that I will make every possible effort to protect the Himalayas. I will not do anything that could harm the Himalayas." On this occasion, The Yuva Tourism Club coordinator Dr. Madan Lal Sharma, co-coordinator Dr. K. R. Dngwal, and Dr. Mrigank Malasi, and all the teachers, non-teaching staff, and a large number of students were present.

The YTC of KV Diu created Wall frame hangings of Freedom Fighters of India on 31st August as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav activity. The members created beautiful wall hangings of Indian Freedom Fighters.

Celebration of Teacher's Day and YTC Inuguration
Government college Daman celebrated Teacher's Day with the inauguration of Yuva Tourism Club on 5th September at Daman, UT of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu. Nodal officer Indiatourism Silvassa conducted an online induction program on YTC and explained Travel for LiFE: A mission under Travel for Mission Life. The event is graced by Dr. S. Kumar (Principal), Dr. Balasubramanian (Vice-Principal), Dr. Srimati Srivastava (YTC coordinator) Govt. College Daman along with other staff and students. Students took online Travel for LiFE Pledge. Dr. Balasubramanian explained, "Travel is the best teacher."

Unicent school Kompally
National Handloom Day Pochampally village visit
Field trips give the opportunity to blend the learning with our real life. YTC students of Unicent School, Kompally, Hyderabad were thrilled to observe the weaving process in Boodhan Pochampally village on August 7 which is the National Handloom day. They were mesmerized with the warp and weft designs in Ikaat style, a contemporary style of weaving originated in the South-east countries. Images of takli, charka and handlooms turned into reality. The officials also explained the history of the village and how the Boodhan movement initiated by Vinobha Bhave saved the lives of weavers. Children could also absorb the simplicity of weavers, who create wonders in fabric.

Yuva Tourism Club "MUSAFIR" conducted a competition--Bharat Ko Jano on 25th August 2023. The students who topped this competition would be awarded in the Morning Assembly. It will promote a sense of curiosity and intrigue about the rich cultural diversity of our country. Students actively participated in the event organized by the school for Yuva Tourism club students.
