National Tourism Day is celebrated every year on January 25 to recognize India's natural beauty and raise awareness about the importance of Tourism in the Young brains. India is one of the top tourist attractions for visitors from all around the globe. Hence tourism holds so much importance in India, both in cultural and economic terms. The theme for National Tourism Day 2024 is "Sustainable Journeys, Timeless Memories". The theme emphasizes the concept of responsible and mindful travel Keeping in view the same, we at Kendriya Vidyalaya CISF Bhilai celebrated Tourism Day. Various competitions like Poster Making ,Slogan Writing , drawing painting Competition on various Tourist Destinations of India were organised. Students from classes 1 to 12 participated enthusiastically. 65 students made posters, 50 students submitted slogans and 10 students made drawings.

There is a glaze unit where various items of black soil and China soil are made ranging from vessels to vases to terracotta sculptures. Students of the YUVA Tourism club not only saw how these articles are made but also had hands on experience. It was definitely an enriching experience for all the members. Later the students visited the age old temple dedicated to Goddess Durga .

Uttarakhand view allYuva club members visited the Advaita Asramam and Asi shankara stoopam located in kalady on 4th December ,2023 Monday.First we visited the Adi shankara Janmabhoomi ,the holy birth place of Jagadguru Adi shankara .Its a beautiful village with real simplicity and serenity.it is situated very close to River periyar.We also visited the famous muthalakadavu which was nearby.Itsbelieved that mother of shankara did not agree for his sanyasa and a crocodile caught his leg at this muthalakadavu and only after she gave permission for his sanyasa crocodile let him free. Our next destination was Adi shankara stoopam ,an eight storeyed memorial ,Kanchi,kamakoti math had built.It depicted the architecture as well as the life story of Adi shankara.This indeed a memorable and joyful journey for all the students as it taught about the life story of the legendary Adi shankara.
