Dr Nemi Chand Golia SLO, STATE NSS CELL Chandigarh,Mrs Neena Kalia DDSE 3,Raj kumar Varman, Assistant Nodal Officer for chandigarh, Ministry of Tourism, graced the event. Principal Mrs Prem Chittranjan appreciated the event. Travel for Life pledge was taken by all students, certificates generated online. PPT on tourism presented by student Secretary. Manpreet kaur (Teacher Incharge Youth Tourism Club) thanked the dignitaries. Mr Sukhpreet Singh teacher Incharge was also present in the event.
Chandigarh view allYuva tourism club was inaugurated at Stepping Stones School Sector 37 D Chd. Students were sensitized about the aims and objectives of the club . Club members discussed the importance of Tourism industry in India's Economy. Tarita Sharma was appointed as Student Secretary and Rubeen were introduced as Additional Student Secretary. Different activities were discussed in the ceremony through which the club members would gain exposure to the rich diversity of India and value its rich civilization.

Students were sensitized about the vision, objectives and major features of the club. The Handbook of Yuva Tourism Club was presented by the Principal to the Student body. The Annual Calendar for the activities of the club was also released by the student body. These activities would help the learners to gain exposure to the rich natural and cultural travel heritage of India and would have a passion for tourism.

Chandigarh view allShishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School Chandigarh 22 D has organized a display board activity under the Yuva Tourism Club. The main objective of this activity was to enhance the students knowledge about the different millets grown across India and to promote their use. Students created display boards for their selected millets. The students used materials such as real millets, pictures and displayed the health benefits, farming conditions and percentage of minerals and proteins found in different millets. The entire event was organized efficiently by the club in-charge Mrs.Trisha Kapila and the students enthusiasm was evident in the creative display boards they presented. The activity concluded with a discussion on the importance of millets in each class (9th and 10th)
Chandigarh view all26th May, 2023. One of the biggest threats to Tourism is plastic waste. As a part of the Mission LiFE program, students of Yuva Tourism Club IHM Silvassa made paper bags using old newspapers and distributed them at the local market and educated people and shopkeepers to avoid single-use plastic and instead use cloth bags and other alternatives to plastic. They also asked the people to first reduce, reuse, and lastly recycling of plastic.

The programme started at 11.30a.m by watering the plant by the dignitaries on the Dias followed by offering flower to portrait of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. Sri. Deepak Das, Honourable Vice Chairperson, Sabroom Nagar Panchayat graced the celebration as guest of Honour. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jayanti Bhattacharjee, Associate Professor in Economics & Convener, Yuva Tourism Club, MMD College. An insightful lecture was delivered by Dr. Kamal Acharyya, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Bengali, MMD College. Dr. Sudip Goswami, Associate Professor in Philosophy & Secretary, Teachers' Council, MMD College highlighted the significance of the programme. Dr. Arup Patari, Deptt. Of Physics, MMD College recited poems of Kabiguru Ranindranath Tagore. Certificates were distributed to encourage the students who participated in the Inter-College Essay Competition. Dr. Anupan Guha, President of the programme & Principal, MMD College delivered the presidential address. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks extended by Dr. Uma Begam, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. The entire programme was conducted by Sri Arun Paul, PGT, Department of Political Science.

A good number of students participated in the competition. The posters were displayed in the college for the audience. Sri. Deepak Das, Honorable Vice Chairperson, Sabroom, Nagar Panchayat was present on the occasion. Certificates were distributed to encourage the students who participated in the poster competition. All teaching, non-teaching staff and students were present. Dr. Anupan Guha, Principal, MMD College advised the students to participate in such competitions and display their creative flair.
