The YTC of Dimapur Govt College commemorated the 9th IDY under the theme "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’’ on 21 Jun23 at the College Auditorium. Dr. Hare Krishna Parhi, Asst Prof, Dept of Education gave a short speech on the importance of Yoga. Mr Biswajit Sarkar, Associate Prof & HOD, Dept of Comm demonstrated some Yoga exercises.

A mass Yoga session by the students & mentors led by a group of LFI students was conducted. Before the session, the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema spoke on the health benefits of yoga. On 20 Jun, a Quiz & Essay Competition was held at the Auditorium on this year’s theme. The winners & the 5 students who led the yoga session were awarded with certificates during the session by the Dir LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.
Nagaland view allKendriya Vidyalaya Organizes Yoga Session on International Yoga Day On June 21, 2023, Kendriya Vidyalaya organized a yoga session to mark International Yoga Day. The session was held in the school's auditorium and was attended by students, teachers, and staff. The session was led by a yoga instructor and began by leading the participants in a series of warm-up exercises, then demonstrated a variety of yoga poses, including sun salutations, standing poses, and seated poses. The participants were encouraged to follow along with the instructor's instructions. The session lasted for about an hour. At the end of the session, the instructor answered questions from the participants. He also gave some tips on how to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. The participants enjoyed the yoga session and found it to be a relaxing and beneficial experience. They said that they would like to participate in more yoga sessions in the future.
Uttarakhand view allOn the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India Field Office Gangtok, in collaboration with the Travel Agent Association of India (TAAS) with around 40 participants at Thomchi Lachung Secondary school . The Students of school, along with teachers, participated in the event where they were briefed about the importance of YOGA in one’s life.
